I was so happy to graduate, but the day after I did I wanted to go back; and still do. I see the new seniors going to school, while I'm going to work. And I think to myself " Stay as long as you can!". Some people hate HS but I can honestly say, I loved it and would trade all the freedoms I have right now, to be " structured" etc. Who ever is still left in HS on this forum, live it up, after HS, it's the real world. Don't get me wrong college is fun a hell. (Even though I'm not in college anymore ). But it was never as good as HS in my opinion. No worry's, you actually had dreams haha. Damn I'm to young to have this train of thought lol. Anyway I'm gonna try to go asleep, have conditioning in the morning.

I left high school without any feeling of remorse, nor did even the thought of looking back ever enter my mind. College from day #1 was so much better than High School. My worst day of college beat my best day of HS, hands down.

I love college, where else can you have classes for two and a half hours of a day? Sure its not as structured but if you have your life in line / know what you want to do its no problem!

Structure is for Commies.
I miss certain things about high school, none of which have to do with school itself, but on the whole it is great to be out of there.

I felt the same way a bit. For the most part, high school for me was easy and I breezed on through it. But at the same time, college is cool, so I guess you could say its bitter sweet.

I agree with Reb on this one. (Of course, having 24 years between the end of high school and the start of college may have something to do with my opinion.)

I miss my friends from high school, but not going to class, tests, essays, etc.
On another note, do any of you plan on attending your HS reunion? I thought about it, and I didn't really dislike anyone at my HS enough to not go, so I figure why not.

Those people are behind me, if anyone mattered from high school, I'd still talk to them. I can picture what would happen if I went:
"So yeah, here's my number, great seeing you, we'll have to keep in touch."
Never call.
This kind of stuff seems to happen a lot with old friends that I've lost frequent communication with. Either that, or I end up hanging out after a few years, with nothing really new to talk about, the conversation is just the old "So what have you been up to?" kind of thing, and besides that, it's just awkward.

I don't plan on going to my reunion. In fact, the majority of my current friends I've met during college, and I only have a handful of my high school friends left, but they are still really good friends of mine. Its really quite amazing how much people change after high school, but I don't have any hard feelings towards anyone.

High school was simply the last 4 long years of hell that started in kindergarten, when I realized that school sucks. I still have nightmares that someone will go through my records and find a discrepency that will require me to go back. It is nothing Billy Madison like and usually ends like Carrie. I bailed out of high school when I discovered that I had enough of a GPA to just leave, never look back and I would still pass. I told the office to mail me a diploma and then left...never got that stupid thing in the mail though.

My only regret of high school was not doing more things with friends. I really wish I would have went to more volleyball games because we had one of the best teams in the country and they won like 10 championships in 11 years. They were a lot of fun to watch.
I remember the last year they won, they played at Western Michigan University, and half the school was there to watch. Couple of us rented a hotel room and just sat around and got drunk all weekend and watched our girls win. Probably one of the most fun times of my life.

I stopped by my university campus yesterday for the
first time in about a year... Other than "Oh my God,
there's so many beautiful women", I remembered how much
I actually like that place. I'm gonna enjoy finally
going back next year.
I still visit a couple teachers at my old high school
occasionally. It's funny walking down the main hallways
and looking at all the different little social cliques
and the dynamics between them. High school was
hilarious, thinking back...

The campus life, in general is sooooo much better than high school. Coming home at 2 something, then having to do homework, or go to practice. You can't beat having two or three classes a day spaced out with time to nap, fap, eat, do whatever in between. The campus life rawks. And the women. Good lord.
I do miss my family though. Especially my dog. The distance between the lady and I blows, but I think it's doable.

Senior year was alright since I had no expenses, a car, some money and enough credits to slack off hard. Also, I was too young to have had many of my dreams horribly crushed. All in all, college is still better. I get to take classes I actually like, all the girls are legal, I can legally drink and the retarded social cliques have essentially evaporated. Now if I had a car and a job again, or at least lived on campus, I could really be enjoying myself.

My school does most of its classes as one three hour
lecture per week. If you're really lucky, you can get
all your classes into two and a half, maybe three days a
week and leave the rest of the week free for other
stuff. Those couple days can suck, hard, but having
Thursdays and Fridays off (Or Monday and Friday... Or
whatever) can be well worth it.

Well actually the age could be as young as probably 16 if they have duel-enrollment. If they don't call it that in your area, basically its when you go to high school for half the day, then the other half you have a class at a local college. My friend was going when she was 16 during her junior year in high school.

Yea we call it joint enrollment here. Same thing. Though that usually only occurs in smaller/community colleges from what I have seen/heard. I'm not even sure that UGA allows joint enrollment.
