I have a tippman a-5 and I bought a carbon fiber barrel. not working to well. just about every time I shoot,  the balls  curve like crazy. I play woods ball and cant shoot straight for the life of me. this has made me stop playing. Anyone know of any good matches for paintballs and a good barrel?

thanks in advance

I use the DMX bronze.  They're really nice and don't curve on me.  I just use a CP 16" barrel.

EDIT: They also haven't chopped on me yet.  Some of the cheaper ones that I have gotten have chopped like crazy, but not these.

What kind of barrel is it? Because if its a good CF
barrel then you shouldn't have much trouble. I've seen
some for sale in stores such as Walmart and Sports
Authority. If its that barrel I wouldn't be so suprized
that its not very good.

Ya if its the walmart carbon fiber barrel than I would blame that.

I've not yet seen high velocity cause curveballs.
Inaccuracy maybe but not curveballs.

And that's very surprising if its a stiffy. Maybe bad
paint or something, I don't know. *edit* Theres a thread
somewhere that suggests good paint for a stiffy, you
should try to find it. *edit* Test the paint they
suggest and if that doesn't work get it replaced.

High velocity can definetly cause curveballs. Check your chrono speed, and if that checks out then its pretty safe to assume that you had crappy paint.

What have you used in the past to clean the barrel?

I see where you are going with this.

I always forget that with the Stiffi barrels... I should probably pay attention to it now considering I'm a new owner of one of their kits

So is a J&J Ceramic, but the JJ is self cleaning.

Stiffi's come with a warning that the use of a battle swab on them voids the warranty.

That's nice to know if I ever invest in one.  So just a rubber squeegie type barrel cleaner?

Just went out this weekend and used a box of draxxxus frostbite paint that I had stored in the garage since April or May (hate playing in the hot weather). Almost every ball was curving like crazy. I've noticed slight curves in the past but nothing this bad. I would assume it was either a bad batch of paint or that paint becomes bad over time (especially based on storage conditions).
I use either a J&J 2 piece or lapco bigshot.

probably bad paint since it was sitting the whole summer
