I love how people are always complaining about how harsh the mods are here yet any punishment given is more or less a joke.
On any other forum, there would be no tical 2.0 or 3.0, he would have been banned the first itme around. Same for Ace of Spades, horsepower and the other idiots with 20 strikes to their name. It should go something like this: Just as three strikes in a year gets you a guesting (more or less), being guested 2-3 times in a year should land you an ip ban. ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

To the one who said there wouldn't be tical2.0 3.0 ect. This has to be the strictest forum I've seen. The Mustang forum I go lets so much more fly, I mean sure, posting nudes and stuff is a no no, but they aren't half as strict as this place, jokes are jokes, not personal attacks. And they too have sponsorships/ money riding on the forum.

I know, but that doesn't matter. I was stating that other forums don't just instaban people for good. It usually takes a good bit to be banned, and you're not always IP banned. I think the reason people get to start over here more is because it seems most members understand the strikes. It doesn't take much to rack up 3 strikes. Especially if you're not used to a forum like this.

It seems lately the mods *cough*God*cough* have really cracked down on linking to a place with a bad comment. It's nearly impossible to find a youtube video without bad comments. I don't want to drag this on either so I'll stop here. -------------

Srlsly. Even with KRL around, I was only guested once and that was without any other strikes. I "posted a subtle attempt at an F-bomb" and was guested immediately. It was by Rambino, no less. And what did I do? Did I send him PMs saying he was a jerk, the worst mod ever, et cetera? Did I make a thread slamming him? Nope. I made a new name, moved on and followed the rules more closely. |

The forum is run the way it is because those in charge all care about respect towards others, personal responsibility, and human courtesy. Sadly some members feel otherwise and act accordingly, hence the need for enforcement of the forum rules. |

Or perhaps there are times in the year were the mods have more free time than others times of the year. Favorites, pssh? If you break more rules, your more likely to get caught. Believe it or not, we dont read every post. Most of the enforcement comes from members alerting us to infractions. Its your peers that you should be upset with. Or how about accepting responsibility for the content of you posts. We cant enforce the rules if the rules arent broken. |

Ditto, Nobody said it's too strict for them self. I'm just stating that this place is stricter than most other. And I do spend most of my time at the other place. But I still like to see whats up here. When I was still into paintball I was in every section just about. But these days I just like to read T&O. -------------

Let me tell you why. Here we have T&O, you get a post count for posts in this section, over there our T&O is called Off Topic, Off Topic posts don't count toward your post count. So my post count comes from Tech related post. I'm a regular in the tech section there, as well as off topic. I've got thousands of post in off topic over there. I think it's great they don't up your post count. That way your post count almost does mean something other than making you a blabber mouthed fool.

stricter than most of the internet. But, frankly, this is one of the reasons that this forum is better than most of the internet. In the 'regular' internet, it is difficult to have a proper conversation, because every other post is full of wild flaming and juvenile filter-dodges.
