| I will give you the same advice as evryone else on the forum. J&J ceramic or Lapco Bigshot. I'd suggest the J&J. Both will cost around $35. |

| I'd stay away from anything longer than 14", after that you just use more gas to push the paintball out of the barrel. Also its very long for CQC. I suggest 12". |

Only two (2) barrels are going to give you distance and those are the Apex and the Flatline. In my book, accuracy > distance. Ergo, I
typically recommend a 12-14' JJ Ceramic. Great barrel for the price, shoots well with a variety of paint, and shoots through breaks like a champ. |

Id do the JJ ceramic barrel kit. The way I see it accuracy is way better than distance. Lots of good info here! after 16" the ball slows down in the barrel. No need. but for true acuracy..? spend it one time on Lapco apex ready barrel then you can upgrade to apex and get distance later. ------------- Dont build it cheap. build it right! |

| personally, i enjoy my flatline barrel on my A-5. i've used the barrel kits and i think that its just a hassel, but thats just me. Although i've heard some stories that the flatline for the custom 98's are not as good. |

I've shot both on my A5, J&J and Lapco both 14". Though I own a 14" lapco bigshot, I have no way to throw dirt at the J&J, in my opinion they both performed equally. To me the only barrel that I tried on my A5 that I didnt like was the hammerhead brands.. I tried another player's barrel on a field at a target range, it was perfectly clean inside and out, needless to say I was un-imprressed by the thing. It broke paint, alot. So I would steer clear of the special ops brainwashing that states that "RIFELING! ZOMG SWEET PROS GOTZ IT U HAVE TO GET IT TOO!!!" But I can tell you a little about the lapco bigshot through my experience.. if you are still looking at this thread. Everytime I pickup my A5, I know EXACTLY where it is going to shoot, I am sure the J&J is the same, but I cant say for sure cause I dont own one. However I also kinda "Modded" my barrel so to say... Well I poured RAIN-X down the barrel, and twisted it around so the liquid would drip a couple drops out the opposite end, I then put a thin rag down the barrel to soak up the liquid and then twirled it around in order to basically buff it. take the rag out, put another new one in that is dry, and wha-la, if you ever break a ball in the barrel, just shoot again, no-problamo! | sinister is absolutrly right. flatline or apex. ut lets not forget the new straightline. but I think its only for a5 n x7. don't believe the hype about barrels tbough. experience beats equip any day. anyone here use the staightline? I have yet 2 see it in action. I wil tell you from exp that both apex and flatline are great. got an apex on my alpha black. |
