Well, I just sent the funds out for this:

This is by far and away the most expensive paintball related purchase I've ever made, and probably ever will make.
Thoughts?

This is coming from the heart: Meh.
I find the pgp much sexier than this.
Come to think of it, I say the same thing about older women... huh, interesting...

Well, it's safe to say I'm in a bit of debt over this one. I want to sell all of my paintball stuff for this, but if I can keep the pistols, I will. If worse comes to worst, then, well, let's just say I won't be disappointed if this is my main. :)

Meh.
They are amazingly nice markers, but way too overpriced. I understand the whole situation, but still.
The only marker I would pay that kind of money for was the Emag I was talking about.
For those of you that dont know, I designed a bullpup Emag in school to be CNC plasma cut/Milled, and even had the damn material for it.
Edit: What are you thinning out DT?

Well, I guess I should explain my motives a little more thoroughly, so people don't think I'm completely insane.
Firstly, let me emphasize something: This is NOT a Carter or a Loo. If it were a Loo Duck, I'd be out about 4 or $5K right now. This is a Redux, a new and updated Desert Duck, created by a man named Steve Brett, who, if you ask me, has earned a place in the Airsmith Valhalla, along with Loo, Carter and Palmer. This IS a Duck, with a mix of readily available parts, such as a barrel that uses Freak inserts, Lapco powertube and hammer, and CCI bolt. Everything else is custom made by hand. This thing is top-of-the-flippin'-line. And is half the price of a Carter Duck (who overcharges to [as we suspect] keep the Duck in the hands of a select few). The Carter duck is $2,500, this one was $1,100 with a Freak insert, carrying case, extra seals and screws, and a velocity adjuster, and many think Steve is selling them too cheap. The craftsmanship is basically artwork.
Secondly, why did I commit? Well, the timing was absolutely perfect. The weekend I contacted mOngo (Steve Brett) inquiring about the production of Reduxes, he said someone backed out of the sale, with a gloss black Redux. I had the chance to get one, no waiting list and no wait. He makes like 10 a year and the waiting list is like a mile long. I couldn't pass it up. It's like this marker was destined to be mine. I'm as giddy as a school girl.
Lastly, what's going? All of it. I'm tired of being a gun whore. I'm gonna sell it all, apart from my favorite semi and tools I need to keep it running. I need a semi in case I've got a friend that wants to play, or I just need some extra fire power.
This really is gonna be like a fresh start. I really don't see how I'd need more.

I think you'll find yourself happy as a mule eating biscuits(that's good!)!
I always remember one of the Whiteboard comics, "Beware the man with one gun, for he will know how to use it."
One piece of advice from someone who's been strictly 12g for a couple decades, CLEAN IT AFTER EVERY DAY!!!.
This is 15 12grams through the squeaky clean guts of a Miltec G2:

They're filled with dirt nowadays, so don't let the price of O-rings deteriorate your beautiful little honey! I strip and clean the whole gun, then put all new O-rings in after every playday...
Anyone else who's shot 40,000 paintballs through a $100 pistol can feel free to argue with me

If you're playing with a gun that is squeaky clean...i think you used the wrong lube.

I think my game would be better as well if I wasn't such a gun-hoarder.

Well, I do lube them AFTER getting them squeaky clean .
People are always horrified at Hell Survivors when I take the garden hose with spray nozzle to my TAG8 in between games, though .
I've found over the years that using the small aircans for cleaning keyboards works wonders. I go over once to dry it, then drip some oil and spray it around into a light film.

And nice pickup by the way .

i wish i could see the laser engraving before i support your decision because part of me really likes the cleanliness of the marker.. it just looks so good gloss black.

Yeah, I was going to say the simplisity of it is really nice too, but I just think like some rediculous laser engraving would just make it all the more unique.
Obviously, up to you. Some all black SPD grips would look really nice if you want to keep it simple.
But, as it stands now, obviously its beautiful.

For a marker like that, a very subtle "Don Glass" would look good. A marker that nice, I would definitely want my name on it. If anything, get the serial # tattooed on your arm.
Also, You should start a stock class team called "The Glass Pack".

I'll agree with that ^^ don't destroy the surface, but a little name etched on it would be a good detail.

A nice set of plexiglass, wood, or gloss black grips would work great with it

Hm. I'd really consider getting my name etched on the side. It's not like I'm going to get rid of it, especially considering what I'm sacrificing to get it. And if my name's on it, theft is less of a problem.
Hm...
Also, it's a gloss black ano.

My point exactly. Personalization is always a good thing.
Prime example being the 98 custom.
