I kid you not, in Burleson, Texas, literally a 100 ft walk from where my house is, gas is $1.95.

We are down to about 2.45 a gallon here, it's a shame I had to total my truck, because now I don't get to take advantage of these wonderful prices until I me and farcry get the rx7 running nicely.

Entirely true. If the economy rebounding doesnt bring it back up, we will bring it back up ourselves. Because americans are going to screw it up again. We did so good lowering our consumption when it was expensive, now that its cheap, the hummers and big trucks are going to come back out. People wont stick with their cars that get them better mileage, because they wont have to. But soon, our demand will go up, and the price will follow. |

Yes, I did total the truck, what happend was I started to hydro plane so I tried to break it, because I have done so before. I was able to succefully break the front tires loose and get them into the next lane to have more room to slow down. But, then the back tires got and shot me off up on the median, so I went for the break but my foot was wet a slipped and hit the gas. I then went across to lanes of traffic up an embankment and into a tree, needless to say it was a rather scary experiences. I was also told I am very lucky I am still alive, I hit my face on the steering wheel and have a nice shiner from it and cracked the windshield with the top of my head. I am now gathering money to pay off the rx7 and get it up and running so I have some transportation. Also the ironic part of it is, is I was on my way to go get windshield wipers and price new tires. ------------- <Sig violation, Section 1> |

how can your foot slip off the brake and onto the gas...You were already pressing on the brake enough to slip so your foot would have to go back UP and hit the gas...Either way your truck is still totaled. Don't feel bad, I totaled my truck too. -------------  |
