Here are a couple pictures of my A5.  Just have the barrel and mag done at the moment plus a trigger spring modification.  RT, powertube and RVA are planned upgrades.

And another picture of it with my WS66 and MT66 for reference.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Thanks guys. As you can see the other two markers are pretty big so I wanted something a bit more compact.  Played once with it like this and even though it only shoots 200 fps with that short barrel it was a QCB style field and the lower velocity didn't hinder me a bit. The upcoming powertube and RVA along with maybe a spring change should get a bit more of that lost velocity back.

The powertube will probably not help; however, the RVA and spring should.  (Although it will be very loud; assuming it isn't already.)   If you don't mind a slightly longer barrel, that will make a significant difference in velocity.  I experimented a while back with a stock barrel cut down to just under 5" (which is about a half inch beyond the porting) and was getting around 250 fps out of it.

With the 8 inch Lapco and no other adjustments it shot 280 fps; so I was only losing 30 fps with the shorter barrel.

I'm just thinking that if I get a powertube that will get rid of the stock velocity adjustment and then go with a RVA and spring...I mean I know I don't HAVE to go with a different powertube...just figured it wouldn't hurt none.  I know a longer barrel would help "solve" the velocity issues but if I want more range and to play with a longer barrel I have two other markers I can do that with. :) I really want to keep this one nice and short.  I imagine there are other 3" barrels out there that aren't this heavily ported that might work too or perhaps a Hammerhead Sharktooth setup.

I'm thinking about getting the spring next and then shimming it to see how much more fps I can get out of it before getting a RVA kit.  Anyone know about how much a spring and RVA may change fps?

the new powertube may actually hurt.  some of them tend do give more friction because of the size and will actually pull down your velocity.  I recommend sticking with the stock one and just bringing the csrew out to be flush with the marker.

Are there mods for  the 98 Custom that make it look like that sniper MT66?

LOL...yes they are.

The "Barrett" WS66 started off as an M4 style marker.  I removed the carry handle and just mounted the optics to the top of the receiver.  Then I added a 20" barrel and the Barrett style muzzle break (from OpsGear I think) and then the bipod to the bottom of the standard M4 RIS rail.  So if you can make a 98 into an M4 with a Picanny rail on top of the receiver, a short RIS handgaurd but with a very long barrel then yes, you could get it to look like that.

Take note though, that gun is HUGE and HEAVY.  It weighs in at 12lbs WITHOUT hopper, paint or tank (though I run remote).  It is cumbersom on the field and may not be for everybody.  Get a broom handle, cut it to about 46" long, and then strap a 12 lb bowling ball to it and you'll get the idea of what it's like to carry this thing.  I use it for AT work or if I want to go out with something different.  Note the whole reason I built my A5 that way is because of the size and weight of these other two markers.  Each of those have a time and place to be used and if I had to pick ONLY one it wouldn't be the Barrett. Luckily I don't have to pick only one...LOL

Fun.  I still need to work on getting the seals to work 100% under high pressure on the rounds so that I can run around with them filled and not worry about them slowly bleeding off pressure.  Other than that it rocks.  Scares the heck out of people on both sides when I fire it because it's so loud.  It's very effective too since it's right there on the marker it's easily aimed and fires just as far as any other LAW.

Last time I played with it I must have taken out five buildings and who knows how many players (that were in the buildings of course...no direct fire against people with this thing).

No, no, no...

We fire nerf rounds out of it and it is only used during big games or scenario games when it is allowed. LOL

Here's a video:

I believe if he hits the building then everybody inside is assumed to be dead

They are a nerf rocket...like a small version of the foam nerf football that has a tail with fins on it.  If it hits a building or a tank then you've "blown up" that object.  They are about 2.5" in diameter and a few inches long.  Look at that video I posted and you'll see exactly what I mean.  I'm shooting a foam rocket round in that video out of the launcher.

On a side note, Hi Pete.

Oh thats cool is it prpelled by co2? how much would it cost to get one on my alpha black?

It it were me I'd go with this one:

http://www.metadyneindustries.com/catalog/" target=_blank rel=nofollow>Tippmann Accessories, Upgrades, and Mods | Stocks, Handguards, and Magazines - Metadyne Industries

When I got mine this one wasn't available.  No matter which one you get you'll need a RIS style handgaurd on your Alpha Black to make it fit.  The Metadyne one runs off your marker's air source while mine requires you to buy actual grenade shells which run $80 each.  Then the launcher is about $100...and the grenades need to be modified a bit to make them work optimally as a LAW rocket launcher like I have it. While the Metadyne may not look as authentic as mine it is more practical without being much more expensive.
