At my school we have an alarming amount of paintballers, and whats even cooler is that a lot of them are female. Most are only rec. ballers, a couple times a year, on birthdays and such, a couple are into tourneys and large leagues, and was thinking, a school club would be great. We have soo many clubs, knitting, golf, pretty much everything and I thought that paintball could be the next big thing.

Now I was thinking of how to propose this, I had ideas and such but nothing that seemed like it would have a good chance of success. Something that I thought could work would be making a letter explaining the values and positives of paintball, the general idea, and how it can make our school better, but my writing ability is fairly weak. I thought that because this forum is full of friendly, intelegent paintball addicts we could all join in and write the perfect letter that would have a good chance of approval.

I understand that because of safety and insurance reasons we could have a difficult time, but I was thinking just do some drills and target shooting with reballs, the archery club does target practice so I could see the school thinking using soft little balls would be safe.  I have lots of reballs, lots of markers and lots of masks and such, and Im vairly knowledable and would be able to run drills effectivly.

So, anyone want to write/contribute ideas for this, or just tell me that the school will never allow this and Im a moron because its dangerous and the schools are stiffs who dont care about crap and couldnt even if they wanted to because of insurance and its doomed to failure.  (Oh i go to a catholic school so Ive already started writing things about paintball that exemplify our catholic graduate expectations)

Don't make cheater boards for your club?

If you make a club, ae you gonna make it no mislimers allowed?

That's a smart suggestion. I would think the whole milsim thing will defiantly turn the school off more than anything else.

yeah milsim would turn the school away pretty quickly, were a small town and weve already had swat called, police come fairly frequently to bust someone for a gun/knife or drugs, we dont need swat busting in and we shoot them with small rubber balls because we think their just decked out milsimers, and they shoot us because were stupid/holding what looks to be an assault rifle.

Yeah I would deffinatly discourage mislimers/ stupidity in paintball.
And hey, the cheater board was hypothetical remember, plus fi they want to get ahold of that stuff theres others that make it. plus I have since been working on a way to turn my droid into a pump/be able to convert it back without massive modding/cutting up my baby badly.

So have I become that guy who is known for hate/promoting unfairness/injustice? man, social justice teacher isnt going to like this... (its more of a distaste now anyways, i just blow up sometimes when mutliple stupid things happen)

I would love to have a paint ball club in my school. here's an idea, make all members of the club sign a release form. that way it's not the school's responsibility it someone gets hurt. i should try this at my school.

But I may try and get a document I printed up with facts and info for my principal in my catholic HS last year but it was my senior year and I said skrew it, because I am not going there anymore so why start a club?

Now I am in college and will probably start one here..

Yea no stupidity in paintball... that I want to see..
I've had my fair share of immaturity with a friend shooting gumballs, marbles, frogs and grapes out of their barrel because they were "Outta Ammo"... -_-  The marbles experience put a freaking hole in my bdu pants, the gumballs experience left a small scar on my arm, and the frog... lol that was funny...

-Luckily he has matured since then and a while back suggested we make a team of some sort.. which I did

Milsimers or no, you haven't got a prayer of a sanctioned club with a history like this.

The problem with a realease form is, its not worth the paper its written on when it comes to minors. In many places minors can't enter into a legal agreement without the consent of a parent or guardian, sorry bud. You could perhaps check into a municipal paintball league. The most you may acheive is to get together with a bunch of ballers from your school and have a great time.
