Anyone else have it ? Got it Friday night after work, played a little went to bed, then yesterday after work I played more and beat the game. The whole zombie thing was weird. I can't really describe it, the game wasn't disappointing, but it sure didn't deliver. IMO COD5 doesn't come close to touching COD4, I guess COD4 was just done really well. -------------

That would be because COD4 is produced by Infinity Ward which produced the original CoD and CoD2 while CoD: "The Big Red One",CoD 3,and CoD 5 are all produced by Treyarch which is a subsidiary of Activision's Blizzard holdings. ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. Tsk, you know better.> |

You are in a house. Start at Level 1 and a wave of zombies comes at you. You kill all the zombies, board back up all the windows they came through and then more zombies come. Gets boring after the 10th round. FlameThrower works good with that mode. ------------- I ♣ hippies. |

So there are cheats for zombie mode ? Kind of. I start round 1, press the grenade trigger, it says no primary grenades as though you have none, well, release trigger, press and hold it again and wa-la, you have 2 sherman grenades. Mess with it and you'll get the hang of it.

CoD5 owns... It took the great CoD4 engine and turned it back to WW2, in my opinion, CoD5>CoD4, why? because it's practically the same game but with improvements everywhere, it's gory, like a War game should be, CoD4 no gore, it's WW2, the greatest war in history, gets points from that to. It doesn't feel like paintball anymore, like CoD4 did with everygun being automatic with a surpressor, in this game you actually have guns with Kick. IMO everything about this game is superior to CoD4. Zombie mode adds alot of replay value to, it also has War, Hardcore FFA, tanks, bayonets, limbs being blown off, the entire experience is just so much more real then CoD4, but then again we are talking about a "Arcade shooter" so realism only goes so far. WWII is so overdone on games. Graphics are nothing like COD4 There are like, no dogs in COD5 ( I don't have cable Internet) Guns are bigger in COD4, COD5 has pretty low caliber guns for the most part. -------------

I love it. The nazi zombie mode is really fun. If you can get some friends to play together with it can really be fun especially with the new xbox live party system. If you had fun playing with your friends on COD4 then you will have fun playing on COD5. PLus every level on this game is perfectly setup for a game me and my friends like to play call the cat game. It's a hardcore private match where you have nine lives and the last person alive wins. You'd think it would just be a camp of, bt me and my friends get bored easily so its got alot of running around. My only complaint with COD5 is that sometimes the tanks can be annoying. They should have made a team deathmatch section with no tanks. And the dogs can be annoying if like me your and your internet has gotten worse lately and on somedays I cannot get over 1 bar of signal. Laggy dogs = Me pissed off. -------------

| COD 5 is fun because its different from COD 4. Zombie mode is mad fun. I play on live with a friend that lives in the building next to me and I can hear him scream from here. I have mixed feelings on live play though. I feel COD 5 is much harder than the previous, ie more spawn killing, camping etc. |

That's funny... so to all the people who have never played MOH, previous CoD games, Wolfenstein, all these great WW2 games, will still find CoDWaW OverDone? I don't think so, it may be "overdone" to you, but to me it will remain the greatest "War Enviroment" to date, thats why so many devolopers make WW2 games. Yea the Flamethrowers boring... "insert sarcasm here" yea the WW2 genre is overdone... the whole idea of the World going to war just..doesn't do it for me any more... So give me the Sci fi, the laser rifles, the motion bombs, the modern war which people are fighting right now, yea give me something I can relate to! Iraq! i wanna go to Iraq "well there little sonny you won't have to wait long! the Beta Iraq was just released all you have to do is head over to you're recruiter and sign up! To each their own, one feels it was overdone, and the other feels it wasn't told correctly, which is why we have the game WaW. Activision will most likely return to the "Modern" scene, so there ya go.. But no war to date, will ever compare to WW2, Wars these days arn't even fought the same way as back then, today you ride down a road and get a IED.. back then you had a LT screaming at you to CHARGE the enemy posistion... yea... Two men stare at a messy painting, one man says I see nothing but blurry colors, the other man replies, "it's a Masterpiece"... P.S Get Cable Internet, you can't really critisize a game when you've never played the actual game, SP is here for us to have fun and fool around, MP is where the real game unfolds. And yea I agree the 12x7.108mm Anti tank rifle is pretty low Cal, same with the 357., 7.62x39 bolt action rifles, the 30 cal automatic machine guns, none of these compare to our 223. cal rifles, and 556mm SAW... Really?... no... Because people whine too much. Not to mention tanks that some people hate. I can see why though, because sometime I drive around in a tank for a whole game. But seriously it's cod4 with different guns and new maps. Though Last Stand takes like 4 years for the person to die, and if you have last stand you can revive someone out of it. Improvements? The only improvement you stated was more gore (which I disagree with), and the fact that it's WWII (again, not an improvement). I'm not sure how you figure that CoD4 had no gore, considering everything you snipe someone with a headshot the bullet leaves a huge blood splat on the wall behind the person. WWII is an improvement? It's more like a step backwards. Everyone knows WWII, everyone has played it, lets move on finally. Sure maybe every one in a while a WWII game would be nice, but do we want 2 more WWII games each year? Not I. Let's move on. Also, not every CoD4 was automatic, and a lot of them have kick. Not sure what game you've been playing...

Rapid... re-read my post, maybe a third time, and you will understand it. When I speak of the gore, I really mean the physics in which a body is torn apart, not the sense of gore, also I said not everyone has played WW2 games as much as you stated, not all of us are tired of the genre. Everyone knows it? thats why there are 100+ thousand people playing it right now. Ofcourse I know not all the weapons in CoD4 were automatic I was being sarcastic, sorry i'll spell it out for ya next time. QFT is overused. if you read up alittle you will realise most of us have come to the conclusion that CoD4 and CoDWaW are both great games in their own way being CoDWaW is just a reskinned version of WW2 with new weapons, perks, and new maps, which are also an improvement by the size. The point is that your statement "CoD4 no gore" is inaccurate. And yes, if you would spell it out (literally, spell [correctly this time]) that would help immensely. And as for "everyone knows it": I highly doubt those quoted 100,000+ people are playing WaW for it's awesome storyline as if they've never heard of what happened in WWII before. -------------

Those would be fun... the whole reason people prefer WW2 to other settings is it's variety, do we hate WW2 movies just because so many have been made? no... to say the same about a game means... you prefer Modern settings over WW2. The Pacific campaign was fun, especially the flamethrower missions... I really don't care what era it is' Veitnam, WW2, Mordern, they are all great in their own ways. Having not played WaW, I can't comment on the game itself, but I can comment on the War games genre having over-done WWII. You can only storm the beaches of Normandy so many times before it's just played out. You can only go through so many German villages before it's played out. The war gets tired. Saving Private Ryan stands out because of it's content. WWII games (theoretically) could also introduce something new, and therefore stand out on their own, but most of them don't, therefore they get placed with all the other games, in the "over-done" category. Even tho earlier in this thread I said it was overused... QFT... I blow peoples limbs off all the time, higher caliber weapons do it more often, also you can blow heads off in SP, don't think so in MP but then again i've never got a head shot with the PTRS in MP... It's much more then limbs to, depending on how close you are to the explosion can determine what happens to you I.E 10 feet you lose half you're hand part of you're forearm, 5 feet you lose you're entire arm. Can we atleast all agree this is a fun game... even if it's been done and done, even if it's just a reskinned version of CoD4 ... does that make it...any less fun... I love this game... I haven't even unlocked the Flamethrower in MP and I'm telling myself I will prestige to 10 for the Gamerpic... * To above poster* this game is what I said... Gory...unlike almost everyother War shooter to date, the gore reminds me of Gears style.. no other War game has been this graphic before. That's why WaW is good. You're in the pacific mostly. Even as a Russian going into Germany is pretty fun. I mean the beginning in Stalingrad is the same old sniper mission stuff, but after that its good. ------------- Que pasa?

call of duty 5 was freakin horrible compared to cod4!!!! and as far as realistic, good graphics, and great gameplay goes.......cod4 is one of the BEST war games ever made to this day!!!!!! i returned cod5 3 hours after i got it!!!! |

COD in Vietnam would be cool. And sure COD5 has gore, but it's fake. When you get shot with a shotgun, you don't actually fly backwards through the air. Your leg doesn't get blasted off either. -------------

The only thing I dont like is that it seems the artillery strikes are more of a stunner than a killer. although the replays of the kills from artillary strikes can be pretty funny at times...As well as the sticky grenades. I think I see a Halo3 sticky fight rooms in the near future. -------------  |

In that game, a shotgun to the leg = vaporized leg, a grenade blowing up right under them = missing foot, thats not real.
