Ok let me make this as simple as possible,

I am looking into getting some new camofladge apparel because my BDU's are kinda falling apart, I have already looked at Spec. Ops' Fusion Battle Jersey and pants with the special ops digi-pattern and have been considering purchasing them.

However.. knowing that the masters of th e art of camofladge live here in the Tippmann forum I wanted to ask your opinion of what type of Digi-camo I should purchase, ACU's, Spec. Ops' Digi, Multicam, OMNIPAT, and MARPAT...

Below I will post a few pictures of myself and the enviroment that I play in.

Short sleeve, in our home field. Base your opions on these surroundings.

Another pic behind cover, in the woods -Homefield-

Behind a tree. -Homefield-

Good Pic of surroundings. -Homefield-

Background of woods. -Field we frequent-

Sometimes we also go to an urban-scenario field, do not base anything off of these next few pictures, as hiding or blending in is impossible to do at such a place.

Repainted my A5 from black to digi about a month ago.

Go Team

I do not know which camofladge pattern would best fit my needs in the enviroment I play in because I do not know much about the new camofladge, besides that MARPAT is what the Marines use and ACU is what the U.S Army uses.. I know that the special ops pattern is more green than either of the two..

Thanks!

I would stick with BDU's or look for some ACU's.

Nice paint job on the A5!!!

I'm a big fan of MARPAT, although it might be a bit dark for the playing areas you've pictured above. Especially in the urban setting. Granted, at the ranges involved in paintball... it's not like you'd be invisible to your opponents, either way.
MARPAT is what I wear. I have woodland and desert sets, to use depending on the season/field.

I'm also a big fan of Multicam. I might have opted to go with Multicam vs MARPAT had the cheap copies been available when I switched up from BDU/DCU. At the time, only genuine Multicam was available... and at $300 per set, was NOT worth the cash layout for paintball use. Nowadays it's available in BDU-cut by Propper/TruSpec and much more affordable.

I was thinking about multi-cam also, because it seems to fit almost everything, but jeeze that is expensive.. I never looked at were to get that. Last place I got my BDU's was from a Army/Navy supply shop.. Yet again, I do not know which camo to pick right now. hence the reasons why I am here..

But honestly I look at the comparison's from 21st century camofladge and older styles.. and well

Of course the multi-cam guy seems to be standing next to a tree that matches his camo, and the other is kinda in the open.. but still the difference is amazing!

Yeah, if you go the Multicam route... definitely go with knock-offs. The geniune Crye stuff is way too pricey.
You can get Multicam copies for the same price as typical new BDUs... $30 per piece.

Do you know where you can get or look at these lower-priced muli-cams?
I just want to look at them and see #1 if they are digital and #2 if it would actually help me blend in at all in the enviroment I play in.

Also I do not care if I stickout like a sore thumb on the urban field

Multicam isn't digital, I'm afraid. If you want a digital pattern, you'll have to look elsewhere.

I just google searched Multicam, and clicked on "Google Shopping". Brought me to vendors selling pants/shirts for $30.

I would highly suggest the MArpat or ACU.  MARPAT is great if you play alot in the woods.  I have had people step over me and not realize i was hiding in the grass.  It does its job very nicely.  Proper makes a very good version too.  whatever you do make sure you get the poly cotton blend.  In my experience the nlon cotton blends tend to fade much much faster.

I have this same thread running in the special ops forum, and many people suggested that I get MARPAT, or Mulit-cam. The guy is from PA  and has Marpat, that is the same woodland as Ohio..

thejudge, I do play in the woods alot so I am starting to lean towards the Marpat, however it still seems like a coin toss on the multi-cam vs the Marpat.. Its really hard to decide. on this.. hence the reason I am here.

- Also any suggestions on were to get MARPAT or Multi-cam from? I see opsgear.com has stuff that looks very similar http://www.opsgear.com/Tactical-Response-Uniform-TRU-Top-Digital-Wood-p/atl-1268.htm - http://www.opsgear.com/Tactical-Response-U...-p/atl-1268.htm

Yep from Parma, Ohio, its a suburb of Cleveland

The first 4 pictures were taken at our homefield we play at, which is our pointman's house we get the neighbors to sign a paper everytime we play on their yard in order to prevent... issues that we have run into before... * cough* Cops *cough* *Cough* but now the neighbors let us build forts, walls anything in the back of their lots, which are about 2 acres..

The next one with 3 of my friends and myself on the left is taken from Pinnacle woods in chardon.. it is my favorite place to go, I wish I could go there everyday.. but its pretty far from parma...

The Rest of the pictures which are Urban are from Swings & Things' Paintball Village.. I have videos and more pictures.. We had a 6 on 20 game.. 6 being my team 20 being a birthday party group... sadly we won! lol

So MARPAT works well in the ohio woodland (Ex: From all dirt grounds with tall trees and minimal brush to very dense low brush/trees that are green as hell)

I'm not sure ACU would work that well for you in that environment.  Out here in the desert where we still have some greenery the ACU is great but it looks like MARPAT or Multicam is going to be the better choice.  I think Multicam is really nice and even better than MARPAT in the kind of terrain you pictured though.  Best thing to do is find people that play out there in the MARPAT wood digi and see how they blend in then compare them to some Multicam folks.

I am consulting with friends.. on this matter also, paintballers and airsofters alike.. this is driving me crazy for some odd reason..

I cannot make a decision at all.. everytime I almost complete the order for MARPAT, I look at Multi-cam and say "I dont know about this.. cause I play in both lit areas and dark areas.." GRR!!!  and then Vice-Versa...

Why can't life be so simple as it was when I started playing paintball with a stock 98 that couldnt hit crap, a pure white mask, and the old army BDU's I wear now that were almost brand new... I am glad I consulted with the forum, cause if I didnt... well lets not go down that route..

Jeeze, I feel like a freaking woman deciding on what handbag to buy... This sucks!! Lol

So its like an endless question.. MARPAT or Multi-Cam, Multi-Cam or Marpat...
