Prices aside, which is a better barrel?
I would prefer an answer from someone who knows what they are talking about by firsthand or secondhand experience. -------------

Neither. I would suggest a Lapco Bigshot or J&J Ceramic. If money is no option I would look into a barrel kit.

No offense, but do you even know what you are talking about? Straightline is a "kit" and BattleStixx is a kit once you buy more fins for it. I've had firsthand experience with the Straightline and know that it is far superior to the J&J's by firsthand experience. It was much more accurate with both Co2 and compressed air. The only advantage with the J&J is that it has a somewhat decent "self cleaning" system. -------------

Ok Guys let me settle this.
I have used all the barrels you are talking about. I used to use and ship J&J and Lapco barrels. All my custom personal gun for the past 3 years have had a Hammerhead on them. For the past 6 months all my custom guns have shipped with Hammerheads on them. You can pick the SL or the BS and get the same quality and performance. E-mail me if you want to discuss further. on experience and MANY MANY previous discussions on this forum on the exact same topic. If you had asked me, I would have given you the same answer. I understand that you asked for an opinion on those two barrels, however he did nothing wrong by posting a suggested alternative that you may also like to look into. Please try to be more civil in the future, and when you ask for opinions, be open to the idea that people have other opinions than your own. -------------

I don't care how long you've been here. I've had firsthand experience with a Straightline and a J&J Ceramic and witnessed firsthand how it's much better than the J&J. That's not opinion, it's a fact that I shot much more accurate in my gameplay with the Straightline than the J&J Ceramic. And so I wanted to know how the BattleStikxx compares to the Straightline. That is what I asked for and you went offtopic. I do very much appreciate your input but that is not what I asked for.

Enough is enough. The problem has been resolved and I think it's safe to say we can all go back to acting like adults now.
Rampant, if you so much as seem to be attacking a regular, you had better believe several others will come to their back. That's just how it is around here. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but your tone towards some of them was questionable. Things tend to get out of hand on here sometimes when opinions don't coincide. Nature of the game, I guess. So yeah, this thread should probably get locked up asap. |

Rude and offensive despite the use of the term "no offense." Rather than trying to point out through the use of subtle humor in my first post that you might be out of line, I could have said "No offense, but you're being a jerk." However, I'm sure that you would have considered that insulting; as you should have.
Considering this post in retrospect the arrogance both in general and for the rules of civil forum discourse seems obvious.
While this merely comes across as whiney. ("I didn't do nothin!")
You can maintain that it was all everybody else's fault but yours if you want. My suggestion would be to reconsider how some of your posts come across and just move on. Within a short time someone else will come on here and behave in a manner that makes everyone forget this thread as long as you don't dwell on it by continuing to post/whine about the subject. Edited addition: I should have added that most people on here have a fairly good sense of humor so you probably could have gotten away with semi-rude replys that were amusing. For instance, the proper response to this . . .
. . . would have been something along the lines of "Go ahead and post, I was looking forward to being rude to you"; possibly with one of these (  ) or similar thrown in at the end. (I would have laughed anyway.)-------------

^^^True, many of them view engaging the swear filter in the same manner as filter dodging. Some people whine about the strict mods, but they keep the forum much more family-friendly than others I've visited.
