yep thats suckie part everyone is going to be on world, Im wondering how much longer are they going to be able to run this game format. They should just make it milsim vs tourney...... that makes more sense to me?

I think historically, there have been more on the Tippmann side than the World side. Problem lies in the experience level of the players IMO. There are a lot of noobs on the Tippy side as well as inexperienced walk-ons.

yep that sounds right, I like the under dogs.  Iit would be nice to have a core of good players out there willing to play with a tippy  it will  help inspire the younger players.

I know there are 3 big events there, and this seems to be the only one that falls during a time that I can make it. I want to go to the Michigan Monster Game, but it is only two weeks after I get back from a two week vacation and money is usually a little tight at that point.

There's quite a large number of excellent players on the Tippmann side.  Always were and always will be.  It's there ability to get less experienced players to listen to a game plan that would make a difference.  Smart Corps came in at the right time to try and claim to be the reason for th World team surge of wins.  It's as simple as this.  If Tippmann can learn to hold flag stations like they used to they can win.  All the World team does is mow faces and leave stations behind.

Not entirely true LB. Sean Scott was on the field lastyear coordinating the team pretty well. Along with me and Snake.

When you throw in other teams like the RGR's that were all working along side Sean, to move the flow of the battle, it was a really good game. A lot of stalemates and gun fighting going on between bases. Like over the road and bridges at the left entrance, and back at Bravo-Archie.

The true problem with the Tippmann team, was noobs. Put bluntly. Too many 10-14 year olds wielding 98's that used up their 500 count bag of balls and were sitting around waiting for mom to pick them up by 2 oclock. They wouldn't advance, they stood there like lumps when they had greater numbers and field advantage. About the only time I saw most of them advancing was when the General was threatening to start shooting them himself if they didn't do something. I think the two tools standing on the East corner of the swamp trying to longball into the castle over the water pretty much epitomizes the vast majority of the Tippmann team. I will probably be there again this year, but most likely playing for World this time.

That sounds like me. I played a role in a scenario as a hardbutt general. I was shooting retreating players in the head with my Tib8.

Sean is very motivated but made THE BIG mistake 2 years ago.  It took a couple of hours to straighten that out.  Care to guess what it is?  Just think back on some of what OS taught people.
Hint guy;  the last time I saw you on the field you saw me working the area.

Never take ALL the bases.

That's part of the move but once a team gets to the point that they either take all of the bases or decide not to,  they eventually control the entire field,  Once you control the entire field you can also control their insertion point.  If you block off their insertion point where they cannot enter the field,  the refs will begin to randomly insert them all over the field.  Never block off their insertion point if you are dominating.  Just sit back far enough to where they will attempt to insert and pick them off.   It's a fine line but i think you need to sit back away from their insetion point that feels comfortable from the standpoint of losing control.  In other words if you put an entire quater worth of work to dominate it can go down the drain quickly by blocking the insertion point.

Its also that chaos that makes the game fun for everyone else. It would suck to be the Tippmann team, and be pinned to one base. I just wish Dave would incorporate some scenario elements into the game. I want to blow up tanks and planes!!!

I may do one more just for the memories, more than likely not this year, but one more time could be done. Still remmember the 5 of us, at TWC I, the first OMHW presence, and Fran and Al played world.

Yeah, i still recall the last time there was a big OMHW presence at the game. Hway, KRL, LB, me, Patrick, RSlide, EE, Savior6, HO w/ pink sandals, OS. That was years ago.

I think TWC 7 was the last "hurrah" of OMHW. To me it was just a fun outing, wandering/swimming the swamp, the booby-trap hung in the tree, and a tad bit of comraderie, long missed.

Yeah, the last big one I saw with all of OMHW there, you gave your interdiction rifleman course.

I'm trying to go LB, as long as I'm in town and able to go, i'll be going to play. No point breaking out my ano booth, when more than half the guns there can't be annoed.

he can borrow my T9, i don't think he needs more than 8 rounds. Thats enough to shoot 8 people, and surrender another 5 at least.

Actually I only have my original 68 Special left, and that is on my I love me wall. I sold everything else to fund airsoft. Wish I could play but on too many blood thinners, can not even get a "bruise" without health issues arising. I don't even chance airsoft anymore till I get some of these medical issues resolved.

I beleive it's blaze brand. You can check the website, they mention the name of it constantly. I shot it in three different markers at the big game and had no issues. None of the 10 guys I was running with had issues either. We were shooting everything from A5's with flatlines, to Eteks, Mags, and a Proto I think . No one complained of significant breaks.

Right it's still packaged in the same color but I think they switched paint.  I can't find the info in the pbn thread.

Posted By: The Guy
Date Posted: 05 September 2009 at 9:02pm
its possible that the company switched die's

The only thing i REALLY don't like about Hell's right now, it the banning of all outside devices and grenades. I learned about the rule last year as i rolled up with about 70 paint grenades in my trunk.

I can understand banning incendiaries after the "incident", but now I can't use my mines or anything.

they unfortunately have had people filling grenades with everything from urine to stinky nastiness and to very stainy paint fill so they just 86 all home made grenades just to make it safer......

all it takes is just a few rotton apples to ruin it for the rest if us

and I think they switched from draxxus to pro caps..... I think Im not sure if they are 2 seperate companies still or not. But draxxus logo have been all over thier fields for a while now but if you look on the box of fireballs I do believe its labeled pro caps????????

I wouldn't put it past certain people to "TIP" the scales a bit in favor of one team or another. After two years of the main sponsor side getting their hats handed to them....... Of course I could be wrong.

I heard a lot of complaining that Tippmann got the game handed to them because they were a sponsor.

The real truth was that the World team was content to sit outside the Tippmann insertion point, and pick off individual players, while they let Tippmann control all the other bases with only a handful of guys. I personally tried to take Westpoint, while it was being controlled by 4 Tippmann players. There was nothing stopping a small squad of World players from marching in there, but organizing even a small force to do anything was difficult.

World lost because of ignorance. It didn't lack leadership, it lacked people willing to listen to their leadership.
