Shes not the best looking marker out there, but she gets the job done well.
I'm technically new to the forums, I haven't been here in 2-3 years, with a different username. But now i'm back to the sport, and therefore back to the forums. I figured i'd re-introduce myself, by presenting updated pics of my marker.

What you're looking at: -A5 -Palmers Stabilizer -Lapco Bigshot -Tippmann/Specops Dogleg Stock -NcStar 1x25 compact red/green dot scope -X7 LP hopper w/homemade ACU cover -Homemade quick detach sling system
When i got back into the sport, i figured i'd have a look at what was out there, and i was overwhelmed. There was Tippmann and spec-ops working togethere to make an X7 w many other upgrades and accessories, the spawn of redesigned 98's, and now word has it that there will be a tippy pistol? holy cow am i excited!
But anyways, the dogleg stock is quite impressive, it was one of those upgrades that led to another, which was my red dot sight. i plan to replace it, with a better one, with a wider angle of view or one with a reticle. The Lapco 8in BigShot, more like a 7in, is force to be reckoned with. i used to have the 14in BigShot, but when i gave this little barrel a try, i never went back. Accuracy and Precision remained strong , but the most noticeable change was the mobility. I've been meaning to paint my A5 in ACU with duracoat, but i don't have the funds at this time, i plan to do it when spring arrives, where weather is preferable, and money will be available. So for the time being, i just took a random ACU t-shirt i had, cut it, wrapped it, and sew it on to my hopper. (Yes, i did see the hopper covers that Panda86 makes on the X7OG)
Well, i look forward to discussing intresting topics with you guys, and thankyou for taking the time to look over this!

That's only fair as sometimes dogs use people's legs.

In all seriousness, it is a nice looking setup. I have two questions for the original poster:
- Does the stock allow sufficient room for your mask that you can actually use the sight without it being raised?
- That looks like an NCStar sight. Is dot on that particular model bright enough for you for outdoor daytime use?
- How well does the adjustment on the sight work? I.e. will it actually go/stay on target?
(I ask the NCStar questions because I'm trying to determine if I just got a faulty one or if they are all subpar.)

Realizing that I'm not the original poster I will answer Mack's question anyways. Dogleg stocks work great, they do in fact allow enough room to use the sight rails without a riser. Secondly do youself a favor stay away from NCStar. All of there products are subpar. They are not very bright and are very fragile. And I find if you run, the reddot gets jostled loose and the windage and elavation go all wonky. I actually found that Tasco optics, a sub-company of Bushnell, work extremely well and are very affordable. They also carry the same warranty as Bushnell products. I took a hit to the lens and they offered to repair it for free, I just had to pay shipping to them.

Thanks. I badmouth NCStar on a regular basis and just wanted to make sure my complaints were still valid. The one NCStar sight I've found that does have a bright enough dot is the one that is styled to look like a military sight. Unfortunately, that one is made of cheap plastic and pieces fall off when it takes a hit.
Edited: To correct stoopid spelin miztakes and clarify my original meaning.

May I suggest this sightwith the $28, 30 mm red dot. http://www.binoculars.com/search/index.cfm?Ntt=red%20dot&Ntk=all - http://www.binoculars.com/search/index.cfm?Ntt=red%20dot& ; ;Ntk=all
This is the same sight I use the one aforementioned that took a hit to the lens and was repaired free of charge. I have taken a few hits to the sight and it stood up to the punishment.

I should have specified that I was referring specifically to NCStar sights in my previous post. (Fixed that and some spelling errors.) I'll keep those in mind. I've had good luck with BSA and Armson sights in the past.

I actually think its pretty nice looking! Clean, simple and to the point. Probably doesnt weigh near what my A5 hog has turned into.

i like it. haven't had a lot of luck w/ that type of dot sight, but the
configuration of the marker looks pretty ergonomically sound.

Thankyou all for the feedback!
Yeah, my next upgrade i plan will be a new dot sight, not sure exactly which one, but thanks to you guys ill be staying away from NcStar. I've been leaning towards Tasco or ATN. Also sights with some sort of reticule has been really catching my eyes lately.
Thanks again
