I just started playing and I was wondering if the alpha black was a good gun for a starter.

alpha black is a good choice, it's ready out-of-the-box for scenario (mill sim) and will accept the cyclone for the future upgrades.

The alpha is a great starter marker. Good price, light weight, can be modded.

I love my Alpha Black, it is easily modable. There is now a cyclone feed out for it, so that is a real bonus.

My setup(Alpha Black, cyclone feed, BT M16 Apex Barrel, Collapsible CAR stock, ACT bolt, X7 expansion chamber, remote coil, ACOG scope mounted on carry handle weaver rail)

I would go with this over the 98 cutom all day long, but it would be a tough choice between this and the A-5.

A cyclone feed would be almost necessary, and I would suggest a new barrel.

The stock barrel is very inacurate and bulky.

Thanks ZIppy. Pretty sure after nearly two months that the OP probably made a decision already.
