I actually think it's good that it happened. It's really made me think about how I've been living lately. I've been pretty depressed and have had a lot going on where I didn't feel in control of my life. I've been extremely avoidant about nearly everything to the point where it was starting to negatively impact my life. So today I came to this realization that I need to start taking more control over my life and the decisions that I make. I really don't know how to explain it. I've been incredibly upbeat all day. I'm not brushing off what happened. I'm trying to look at it in a positive light and move on for the better. It's not so much about smoking pot or not smoking pot really. It's just more of not dwelling on the negative aspects of things so much. This probably sounds like a drunk post or something, but I'm completely sober. I've never had such an abrupt change in attitude or been this personable ever. I just feel like I'll be alright. Anyway, I have mayor's court tomorrow, so wish me luck. I'm feeling optimistic even though I'm prepared to get my ass handed to me. We were cooperative and upfront with the cops, didn't hide anything from them, and I haven't ever even gotten a speeding ticket before this, so I'm hoping they don't come down too hard on me. Anyway sorry for the livejournal-esque thread. I've had a lot of crap going on lately, but I feel like a weight has literally been lifted from my shoulders. I'm not saying I'm never smoking again, but I do need a break for awhile, and that's all I can promise for right now. ------------- irc.esper.net #paintball |

Anyway, they're going to drop the paraphernalia charge, which is awesome. However, I have to go back to court in January because of some weird law change were I may or may not get my license suspended for 6 months. So my friend's lawyer (my friend was driving the vehicle and was also charged) is researching it. That would suck hardcore though if it did happen. But at least the most serious charge is dropped.

EDIT- For those who don't know paraphernalia is a steeper charge. Minor possession is a minor misdemeanor, paraphernalia is a 4th degree misdemeanor. ------------- irc.esper.net #paintball |

lol Pipe/bong. They charged you with that? My friend and I got pulled over almost a month ago and they found a glass one hitter. The cop just hucked it into a farmers field. K I was trippin. I have a short attention span and when I seen bong/pipe I had to reply quick or I would have forgotten. Thats good that you got it dropped though. Less hassle in the end. Yea, smokers shops sell bongs, but obviously they sell them as for tobacco. What you put in it is beyond their control.
