Hardly the season, but how do you like them?

Me? Im quite simple. Well done, potato bread bun, then the usuals. This Montreal Steak burger seasoning is pretty good, but I want something new.

I've also had a burger with Taylor Ham, which was accually good.

And when it comes to food chains, my favorites are White Castle sliders, the Whopper(no onion), and Big Bacon Classic from wendys.

Whenever I eat any beef from McDonalds, I feel really sick afterwords.

Well, that stuff they offer as beef anyway.

Although I love the Chicken Selects, and that breakfast Chicken Biscuit.

That's about where I am too (except for the sliders).  At a nice restaurant I'll get the burger medium.  I have also taken a liking to DQ's flamethrower burger.

But the Whopper is number one for national fast food chains.

Either placebo or you are making it up for the sake of the internet. Their beef is the same as the stuff anyone else is serving.

Anyway, as far as fast food burgers are concerned, Whataburger is the only one acceptable answer. So awesome.

As far as burger toppings, I like extra tomato, yellow mustard, onions and mayo.

McDonalds uses real beef, picked up several loads of preformed patties at IDP Lexington, Ne during my trucking career. BTW Wendies and Burger King also uses IDP meat so it is all the same stuff. Only difference is Wendy's meat is not frozen, kept at 35-37 deg and really, really time sensitive.

I imagine their supply routes are given a whole lot of thought to get the timing of all that non-frozen beef correct.

That kind of stuff is fascinating to me.

There is a Taco John's in my home town. It is the only one in the state of Florida, but they are a popular chain in the great-plains area. How in the world do they coordinate supplies to a single location hundreds and hundreds of miles from the next closest chain?

Traveling to Wendy's DC's were time sensitive to the max, you departure time to arrival had less the a 30 min window. From Lexington, NE our max-effective range was 550miles and 11 hours later the product needed to be in thier cooling stations and usually our arrival was timed with the loading of Wendy's DC trucks, so it usually was a trailer to trailer transfer. I have seen loads rejected for 5min late, I never was late thank god. Usually I got the Denver run so I had big roads all the way, and snow was no excuse. If 80 or 76 was closed they would hold you at Lexington until NE/CO DOT ensured safe travel. I hated Wendy's loads.

McDonalds was not that much of a hassle as long as you were ontime and the core temp never exceeded -20. Had a run from Lexington to Fontana,CA and the TCU condenser siezed in Nevada in the summer, got to Fontana and they still took it, go figure. I was ready for a return to ALPO or Purina for dog food base.

I'm a big burger fan.

I like mine cooked medium/medium rare with swiss cheese, bacon mushrooms, onions (or onion rings)  and some A1 sauce.

fast food:

Whopper is good, but the top of my list has to be anything from A&W. I had an A&W burger for the first time when I drove through Oregon.....I never wanted to leave.

The Carl's Jr. Famous star is the best fast food burger on the face of the earth.

In and Out has the double, double burger, BJ's Brewery has a good California burger, Ruby Tuesday's has good burgers overall, and Carl Strauss has a good El Fuego burger.

If I have left out any burgers, I am sorry.
