Just got word my cousin died in a car crash last night coming home from work. Hit some ice, rolled the car, was ejected through the moonroof. Im told he wasnt wearing a seatbelt.
I dont know if i should tell anyone at work cause they might send me home, but i dont know how useful im going to be for the rest of the day if i stay here... Also, my female dog Phoebe had a sudden heart attack last wednesday and died on the way to the vet. crappy week. my condolences, but please watch the language. ------------- ///AMG What? |

sorry to hear that man. i almost did the same thing last night, out of no where it dropped below freezing and started snowing and i came pretty close to doing the same edit-better off taking the day off..esp if you work with machinery. distraction is why i don't really have the tip of my finger. you don't have to go home though, you could just go somewhere like a park or someplace where no one can bother you for a few hours |

You go to hofstra? So you were on LI as well. He was working at the cheesecake factory in smithtown i think, on his way home to bayshore around 4am. Dunno what road it was. Probably hit the same weather as you. ------------- ///AMG What? |

i don't think you know how much that scares the living crap out of me. i live about 15 minutes from there, and i was driving 20 minutes away from smithtown. yeah, the weather was pretty bad...my guess is he was probably on vets highway or nichols road. |

No paid leave, i just took off to come home with my managers permission. Im just a co-op (intern) there so i dont have too much responsibility and im not missing much this afternoon.

Sorry to hear that Niq. I was in a car accident yesterday. The other driver flleed the scene, and I couldn't get a plate number. And seeing I only had liability, im screwed.
