I personally own one of each of these type of tippmann paintball markers, and I was curious to see what everyone thought here, what type of marker would you prefer to use on a regular basis? Me personally I use my 98 custom that I have custom fitted to be a sniper, and my ghillie suit, but what do you all think?

Phantom.

Since I'm feeling evil, I have to ask; exactly how did you do the following?

Wow, that is quite a custom set up. I'll bet you get tons of one shot/one kills. And with a ghillie suit, you are a virtual one man killing machine. Maybe you should post up some pics

Welcome to the Tippmann forums. Now put on your flame-retardant suit, sit back, relax, and try to keep your eyebrows.

welcome to the forums.  To answer your question I prefer the A5... well now I prefer my procarb but you didnt give that as an option.  As for the flaming of the forum, it is because you said th S word (aka sniper).  Physics show that snipers do not exist in paintball.  I am just letting you know.  if you argue it you will be bombarded with points that disprove anything you say.  the ghille suit  will not help in your defense as they are usually not that helpful.  as for the barrel you are wasting air.  a barrel over 14" becomes much less efficient.  I recomend 8-14".  I know you will have a thought of "well...". please trust me when I say anything said in defens of "snipers" can be shot down.  I was as nice as possible in this post so if it upset you too much... sorry.

I guess I should be polite enough to answer the question as well. I have owned both A5's and 98's. Personally, I prefer the A5 to the 98, but mostly because of aesthetics. I simply think the A5 is a better looking marker, especially when mil-simmed. My brother has an X7 and if he can ever get it to consistently work for more than an hour or so, I will probably borrow it and see if I like it.

With that said, honestly, I prefer my Automag Classic over them all.

A5 with a flatline, Ape egrip, and Qev mods. Puts balls way down field and is good and loud.

Let's keep it Civil Mack, Hazing is frowned upon by today's gentler and kinder society. We all know better, he'll find out the inevitable truth on his own.

As to the Topic, I find myself using my Alpha Black Tactical over my A-5's, X-7's, 98's (model 98 and Platinum), C-3. Thou I am pretty sure that the ABT and the TPX will be the Rock & Sock'em combo.
