| so ive had my 98 custom for a while now and its doing that fire once then uncocking itself like the bolt fires once then just comes un cocked any ideas? i check it all out and it seems to be fine, i figured it would be my springs but now it seems like a gas problem. thanks. |

| My 98 did that a while back and what i figured out was that there was something wrong inside the chamber. I swapped out parts with one of my friends until we found the problem. Apparently, my gun had actually shot an o-ring right out of the gun and that caused it to not work. Maybe yours is similar because I'm guessing you didn't take the chamber apart when you looked it over. Hope this helps. |

my tippmann 98 did this too. i found that the o-ring on the rear bolt was stretched. if u have the same situation (stretched o-ring) just replace it. worked for me.
