I just bought my Tippmann A5.  Since I've disassembled other 'guns' (ie, real-life ones), I decided to take mine apart to understand it better and know how to maintain it.  I did this after I played it for the first time, but I forgot to do something that the instruction manual says to do.  I know, it's in the manual, and I read the manual, but anyway...

Why does it say to screw the velocity adjustment screw all the way in when disassembling the marker?  One of the field personnel unscrewed mine a bit when testing the ball speed, and I forgot about this when I disassembled it.  My marker seems to fire fine, but I am a bit worried now.  Might my marker be damaged because I didn't screw it all the way in before I took it apart?

They recommend screwing the velocity screw in because if it is too far out, it can hang on the receiver. As long as it comes apart ok, no harm.

It suggests to screw the velocity screw all of the way in if you are going to drop the bolts out the back of the gun.  The velocity screw would keep it from sliding out.  If you completely took apart the gun (which is what I do to clean it) and opened up both halves, then you don't need to worry about changing the velocity screw.  In fact, I find it easier to put everything back in place when I am reassembling the gun.
