I must confess that I gave into the SIR movement. My original mod was
too disproportioned for my tastes so I had to get a handguard that
could cover the front portion. The S-system forend is attached by a custom flattop mod. The top has been completely milled flat as well as the lower lip. The Apex barrel actually didn't let the front sight post move too far back, so I had to use a lathe to grind it down so the front post could be pulled back farther to look right. That's why the part under the front site is bare aluminum. I kind of like it like that since it seems to add character to the marker. The only thing I would change is to add an EoTech sight. For some reason, especially for this mod, I think it would look really slick. Fourth Stage       // What it looked like before //Third Stage I milled the top part of the marker to get rid of the rear sight so I could attach the carry handle, I also bought a carry handle rail addon so I could attach ACOG directly onto the carry handle.    //Second Stage I bought a broken M4 airsoft rifle and cut up the magwell so make my own airthru m4 mag. Also added an airsoft flashlight  //First Stage Bought an ACOG sight and an Apex BT-16 Barrel off ebay  |
