i don't have an A-5 but it may be your sear or sear spring. so make sure all your stuff is in the right place.
and again my advice may not be much help... i don't own an A-5

I have several a-5's.  It sounds like a sear/bolt problem.  The only thing you switched out was from a single trigger to a double trigger.  Since this is the only different part from when the gun was working, start there.  Take the gun apart again and look at the trigger assembly.  Make sure that everything is there.  Next, check to make sure the rear bolt and spring are installed correctly.

sounds to me like the standar "fart" problem....puls the trigger once and the marker 'farts' and uncocks.

* Did you overtighten the clamshell bolts? It might be binding the striker and it not catching properly. They only need to be snug...not "tight". Try this first.
* Did you shoot oil through it lately? About 5 drops into the asa if not...
* Screw the tank in until it stops and back it out a 1/4 turn, see if that helps.

I agree but also check that you didnt lose your sear spring that also can have that affect
