Ok so my buddy just gave me a 68 Carbine. Old kicker but nice gun. Reason he gave it to me for free: it doesn't work. I'm relatively new to paintball gun maintenance, so to my eyes everything seems to fit well enough, however when i put the hammer in the front, according to the diagram in the instruction book, and try to cock the gun, it wont move. There's a little movement due to the small gap between the front of the hammer and the back but it wont budge. Help? Confused

The hammer is actually the bolt or front bolt.

It's in backwards, flip it around so that the hole is towards the back.

Check the velocity adjustment bolt on the side of the front bolt.  If it is screwed out to far it will interfere with bolt movement.  (You should be able to see it through the cleaning port on the left side of the marker.)

Ok so i attempted to screw the velocity pin in further and it was dead stuck. I couldnt move the damn thing. Also, did you mean i should be able to see the velocity sensor through the side? The hammer wont go that far back.

The velocity screw must be below flush is what Mack meant. Otherwise it will catch on the casting.

Could you post a picture?
