I'm going with Wings in 7.
Pittsburgh scares me even more than last year.  Crosby and Malkin are even better this year.  Fluery is probably just as good if not better, and overall the team has the experience this time. And they are healthy.  But at the same time, Detroit is pretty much the same team as last year, plus Hossa, so I Iike their chances (plus I'm a fan...)  I just hope Detroit can get Lids and Datsyuk back soon.

voicing my opinion would be sealing a fate on a team. Just like picking up a trophy that isn't the Cup.

Touching the Prince of Whales trophy...you mean like Mario did in 91 AND 92 before they won the Stanley Cup?

I think it's the Pens year.

Wings in 6.

Maybe Kronwall will just knock Crosby out cold like he did to Havlat in the last series. That would be epic.

Pens in 4, too much talent and Detroit is tired out from last long series.

Wii NHL my Pens beat Detroit in 4 straight.

Really? The Pens have a few good players; Detroit can produce with all 4 lines, and won the last series with two key players (Lidstrom and Datsyuk) out of commission.
I doubt the Wings are going to get swept, especially with home-ice advantage tonight & tomorrow.
Lidstrom is back, and Datsyuk should be soon enough if not tonight.

Should be a fun series.

there is no way that detroit will allow a sweep. there team is loaded with talent. but i still believe that it is the penguins time to shine

Since it's just such a trendy pick right?  Everyone, including broadcasters with the exception of Barry Melrose, pick against Detroit all the time.

That's what I'm saying.

You'd think a team that has been fairly dominant for the past 2 decades would be the favorite, but everyone's always hatin' on Detroit.

I was watching ESPN at the gym and they picked Detroit in 7.

I get SO many comments every time I wear mine. It's the only shirt I have that gets me into at least 4 random conversations with strangers each day.

I wonder how many of the speculations are based around stats, and how many are based off anti-Detroit / Crosby Fanboyism?

Too bad I had to listen to the game on the radio.  Looks like the Wings got a couple of lucky bounces for the win, but I don't think it'll be that way the whole series.

2-0

Only one team has ever come back from a 2-0 deficit according to ESPN.
The only goal the Penguins scored last night, was actually scored by Brad Stuart of the Wings btw.

I am totally surprised on how welll Detroits defense has shut down the Pens, and Osgood has been just fantastic. Well with the Pens at home we will see but if they can not get control of the puck in the offensive zone soon they are done. And those boards and weird returns off the boards in Detroit are hard to play from what I see.

I am surprised the Pens haven't put up more of a fight.
Detroit's D is the best in the NHL though, so if anyone can stop them, it's the Wings.

I just hope Datsyuk comes back. It would be a shame for him to work hard all season, and not even get to participate in the finals.

Or miss out on any playoff goals.
