Recently aquired a TPX pistol and out of about 12 clips shot through it, ive had 2 breaks in the breech, was curious if anyone has any ideas what could be causing? Using paint from the bunker extreme, so basically the paint that is used for all the events the bunker hosts except for d-day.

The TPX seems VERY sensitive about thin shelled paint. I dont know anything about the stuff youre using, but I would try out the gun with some thicker shelled paint. Ive shot PMI paint through the TPX and it works perfectly, but thin-shelled cheapo stuff breaks easily one every magazine.

Okay, i might go and buy some winter paint or similiar, at least ive gotten a lot better at disassembly due to the problem of it breaking paint. LOL

Winter paint seems a bit overkill - most of us haven't had any breaks, and I have shot only midgrade paint.  I figure it is like a Cyclone - you don't need the best paint in the world, but be wary of tournament paint and old paint.

mine is having same exact same problem.  they should fix it, a recall or something.  my tac 8 has never ever broken one ball.  there is no way im going to spend the extra cash for the high end paint.  the highest i go is about $45 for a case.   what paint is considered thick shell anyway?
