 just want to know if an a5 or x7 trigger will fit on my 98 if not why

No, the A-5 and X7 triggers are longer and will not fit inside your trigger guard.

I don't believe my answer was sarcastic, simple common sense. And the answer to the question is possibly. Is it a drop in? No. Would it work for an E-grip? Not without major reshaping. Could it be modded to work in a mechanical arrangement? Sure, but why go through all of the work when there is no gain from doing so? Now, looking at your OP, I am beginning to wonder if you are asking if the entire trigger assembly/grip will fit onto a 98. If this is the question, again the answer is no, not without significant modifications. It has been done, but it requires a lot of work and would not be a novice mod.
