I sense some London fans are going to be pissed if it's true.
I had heard about him collapsing, but not about him being dead yet.

So at first I thought it was a hoax but in the taxi home tonight all I heard were his songs and the dj pouring all his MJ loving heart out.
And yes I have danced to his songs... If you havent then you are clearly about 9 years old. Think of him what you will he was a troubled man and a great influence on music in this generation. I honestly think it's a great shame.

Yeah I've def danced to his songs. And yeah, my hoax radar went off when my gf texted me, but it was confirmed by then. So crazy.

Troubled man? He made his own troubles. I'm amazed at what people are willing to forgive once you kick the bucket.
No, I never danced to his music- it's never appealed to me.
Just because the guy had talent isn't enough to make me look past some of the skeevy crap that he's been a part of. I don't wish death on anyone, but I'm not going to get all bleary eyed over the death of someone who would be locked away for a long while if he wasn't famous.

Not really. Where I went to school, dances were pretty informal, there wasn't much 'asking' or 'being asked' I can say with near 100% certainty that I've never, in my life danced to a MJ tune.

MJs talent was great, and his music before the whole going wacko thing is awesome. But I can honesty say his death isn't that much of an impact since he wasn't doing anything great in his career as of recent. Out of all the celebrities that have died of recently, the only person who's life, career and influence was cut short, that I can think of, was Bernie Mac.

I was pissed when Isaac Hayes passed last year.
Oh and work was great tonight. First we were talking about Farrah's death, followed by the resignation of our mayor (corrupt POS) for about 20 minutes then the rest of the night was full of Michael Jackson jokes.

I remmember the early years, The Jackson 5 on AFRN, and the copy cats in the Vietnamese and Thai Clubs, he was a cute kid, and the music was a turning point in "Pop". On my R+R in Austrailia he was an icon to the locals, and the clubs and bars played Jackson 5 music a little too much. Once the freak showed up after Thriller, that was the end of the run in my book.

Man I still can't believe it. I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan. He was such a talented artist and an incredible dancer. Just look at the moon walk and the dance move he does in Smooth Criminal. Not many have affected music in the way he did. I feel bad for how he died four hundred million dollars in debt and with a sketchy reputation, but I feel worse for the people who now say "good riddance" and "he wasn't that great". Those people are truly missing out life.

He was a legend, and for a reason. Someone does become that much of a global phenom by fluke. But yeah, his eccentricity outshone his music, and thats who he became unfortunately. I really didn't like new michael jackson, but my appreciation for his older work stays the same.

Since he is mostly plastic Rather than being cremated. He asked to be melted down and made into lego bricks.
Suppose the kids will get to play with him for a change. BADOOMDISSH
Also His girlfriend is apparently devastated. One source quotes "First my parents leave me in Portugal and now this!"

When Farrah Fawcett arrived at heaven, God granted her one wish. She wished for all the children to be safe. So God killed Michael Jackson
What were Michael Jacksons last words?
Take me to the childrens hospital.

One is white, made out of plastic, and dangerous for kids to play with and the other you carry your shopping in

Due to the fact the MJ was 99% plastic, his remains are to be melted down and formed into lego blocks so that little kids may play with him for a change.

Not to bump an old thread, but here are some interesting things I got after talking to my mom, of all people, about Michael Jackson.
Concerning the child molestation thing, I don't really thing he did anything with the kids. For one, he was on trial for it twice, and nothing came of it either time. The second time the court was looking for blood too, so I don't buy the whole money = acquittal thing. Secondly, he had a history of being violently abused as a kid by his father, so I think it is questionable that he would have been able to do anything to actively hurt a child.
Was the sleeping in the same bed as kids thing weird, and making a crazy kid's park of a home weird? Yeah. But he never really got a chance to be a kid when he was young. He was forced to record and tour, and if he didn't, his father would beat him. That really messed with him, psychologically, to the point where when he got older and had lots of money, he was willing to do anything to try and live out the childhood he wasn't allowed to have.
Is he a warped, weird person? Yes. Did he molest children? Probably not.

the thing that makes me think he did it was he paid 30 million to settle a case out of court. someone who is innocent just doesnt do that
