I hate when they give out dumb sentences like that. Just say "life in prison".
Then there's the 4 life sentences that was handed out once. Just shoot them.

Anyway, I don't feel any sympathy for the man, he colossally screwed people and deserves it, IMO.

Well I think they do that for a number of reasons. The first I can think of would be if he appealed one of the charges and was found innocent, they still have three other life sentences to play with.
