Subject: So what do you guys wear?

Me and my buddies were talking about how in the military, everyone you first meet and befriend are all done without any sort of visual prejudice.  Everyone has short hair and the same clothes, so you only relate by personality which is pretty cool, but the first time you go out together in civilians it's hilarious to see the prep, emo, slacker, surfer, and political guy all walking in a group.

So it brings me to wonder what everyone here wears.  If your not into brands, just say your not into brands or stay out of the thread.  Even in your brands target, I'm certain nobody will hate on you for what your comfortable in.

If I had to classify myself, I'd say I dress preppy.  Ralph Lauren, J Crew, Vineyard Vines, Lacoste, and Brooks Brothers is the vast majority of what I wear.  I own 3 or 4 pairs of sperry's with that, or some flipflops (its hawaii man) most of the time.

So how bout you guys?

Normally I don't really pay much attention to brands, I mainly only spend larger amounts of money on watches, shoes or jackets.  Element makes a great colder weather jacket that I absolutely love, and I normally wear Etnies shoes and a Modern Amusement watch.
Other than that, I don't really pay much attention to what brand something that I'm wearing is.

I guess I would classify the majority of my stuff as preppy. I really don't pay a whole lot of attention to brands, I just wear stuff that I like. I wear a lot of Ralph Lauren, Hollister, and Hurley. For shoes, It's usually a pair of Nikes, Adidas, or Tims. I used to always wear a hat but since I got my hair cut, I haven't worn one.

Usually jeans n a t shirt type, I dont know what type that makes me.

I usually do pay some attention to the brands. I Like a bit of Gstar and Started to like a bit of Jack n jones lateley, A few armani t shrts and some prada in the wardrobe for going out. For normal day to day there's some Gio goi, henleys and the like.

I know exactly what you mean about the prejudice's going out the window and you end up with the chavs getting on with the goths and the surprise when they go out in there civys. It's quality

I've found myself liking Ralph Lauren stuff a lot, as far as shirts go. The cut of their dress shirts is a little more comfortable in the shoulders than others I have found, and I can either get the standard stuff or some different patterns in their "Chaps" line they sell at Khols and such. Also, really not that expensive, I think that paying about $3-$4 more for a button up shirt is worth it to not feel snug in the shoulders all the time.

I'm also a fan of Penguin by Munsingwear clothing. I have a few "The Earl" polos and button ups from them, all very comfy.

I never really put too much thought into pants. I have a lot of Dockers brand chinos, because they are really comfortable and a little more dressy than khakis, so I can wear them to work.

My belt is Fossil I think. I've had it for years.

As for shoes, I've yet to actually wear dress shoes to work. I've been wearing solid black Vans slip-ons, and so far nobody has noticed or said anything.

Also, I have a quite large collection of paisley neckties, which I am a big fan of. I wear them to work all the time. As a matter of fact I actually own more paisley ties than I own non-paisley ties.

Top: T-shirts: Generally without any sort of clothing brand on them. If it says something, it has to be related to some thing I've done or a group that I was once in.

Bottom: Cargo shorts of various shades of khaki. Long khaki pants and jeans. On hot and/or wet days I might wear boardshorts.

Feets: Old, worn down sneakers; one pair of which was on ESPN. Boots on cold and/or rainy days and every time I go flying. No-show socks.

Accessories: Ray Ban aviators.

Most of my clothes come from Kohls.  I mostly wear Bullhead jeans because I like them and Pacsun has them for a decent price.  I don't own any khakis or polos or plaid shorts.  i usually wear my vibram 5 fingers or brooks or flippy floppies on my feet.

I am also a Kohls shopper but only for shorts. I usually get the khaki cargo shorts or right now, I got the plaid shorts on usually fron Urban Pipeline. I usually wear either Woot shirts, highschool shirts, or now my college shirts. I also wear stylish nike 6.0 shoes. I only rock the nikes and nothing else.

I love my Bullhead jeans, though I only bought them because Pac Sun had two pairs for $40. Still comfy as hell, and there cut is great because its not real baggy but not super tight.

As for Ts. Anything from Express. Best $20 T-shirts IMO.

For shoes. I always wear Converse All-Stars, ALWAYS. I have about 4 pairs that I frequently use now and probably going to buy more once I secure a second job.

But I've been considering changing up from just T-shirts to maybe adding a blazer or button up cardigan and such since I enjoy looking clean cut.

Torso: Almost exclusively t-shirts. Some for companies I like (I'm wearing a TGR shirt right now), some for bands I've seen. Once in a blue moon I'll throw on something that has buttons.

Legs: Jeans, cords sometimes, Dickies (never double-knees) sometimes, cut on the slimmer side. If I wear shorts, they're whatever I saw on whiskeymilitia and happened to like.

Groin: Boxer briefs. Righteous.

Feet: Real Vans normally, the kind with laces. Sometimes break out the Chuck Taylors or Orchids. I have some black running shoes for work.

I used to be addicted to polo shirts, but I dont wear them anymore. Im back to simple t-shirts.

I guess kinda preppy. I hate going into Abercrombie, the store itself just bothers me. Dark place, loud music and an overwhelming smell, so i dont buy myself anything from there. I do wear some Hollister if theres a nice sale, their shirts are SUPER soft.

My main store is American Eagle. I dont know why, its just nice. Tshirts and button down shirts. Now that I work at JCPenney, I buy a lot of clothes from there.

Jeans, whatever brand fits/looks alright, and a t-shirt or polo shirt.
Bomber jacket with aviators in the fall, Burton snowboarding jacket in the winter.

I had a pair of Bolle Vigilantes, but they got jacked from my car.
All I have now are my cheapo aviators that I've had for years.

*Edit, forgot shoes: Either my black work boots, brown columbia hiking boots, or an old pair of black Reebok basketball shoes.

Solid color t-shirt, jeans, Sneakers- preferably running shoes.

No brand loyalty. I'm pretty hard on clothes, so if I spend more than $20 on a single item of clothing (excluding shoes) its too much.

My sole concession to 'looking nice' for work is swapping out the jeans for a pair of khaki pants and the solid color t-shirt now has a collar on it.

I just never have really put that much thought into what I'm wearing. I guess my style categorization would be somewhere in between "Lazy" and "Slob" I call it "Comfortable" I'm rather proud of the fact that I can't recall a single instance in my life where I consciously dressed to impress outside of a job interview, which I've had only ONE of.

I used to be all spiffed up when I was student teaching, and the ties were the worst part. I hate them. I cannot stand wearing a tie in any form. Bow, clip on, straight, whatever. Can't do it.

Gap jeans, ON rugby shirts or some variation of longsleeve button up during the winter. I am a shoe whore, so 5-6 variious pairs to choose from (sneakers to sketchers)  During the summer ON cargos shorts and polo type shirts. i go for the Guranimal effect and try to make sure most of my stuff matches everything, makes getting dressed easier. Once the temp hits above 50 I pretty much have Reef or Hollister flip flops on until it gets colder.  And if sunlight is hitting my body, RayBans are on my face.

I'm with Reb. I am hard on clothes and tend towards cheap shirts as they inevitably get worn while I am doing something stupid like changing the oil in my car, cleaning the grill or frying chicken.

It is dark in both Abercrombie & Hollister to hide the defects in their clothing.  Both stores spray their perfume 3 times every half hour to make it smell like California/preppy tool.  I made it smell good with ammonium sulfide and then promptly left the store lulz.

I wear boardies or gym shorts in the summer with jandals, my adidas, nikes or another random assortment of skate shoes.

Ive been seen wearing beaters or white tees on hot days, but mostly ill wear a surf/skate tee, or something similar.

Always have a hat on, normally black, and backwards 90% of the time.

On colder days ill trade for sweat pants or rarely jeans, and add one of nine million hoodies that i own. Substitute backwards hat for a beanie.

I'm pretty random, if I'm just going out of the house usually it's plaid shorts, a polo and undershirt, maybe a hat if I'm too lazy to do anything with my hair, and skater shoes.

If it's not too hot I really prefer button ups, usually from Abercrombie or Hollister (yeah I know...), semi-loose jeans and pretty much whatever shoe I'm in the mood for.

Most of my week at work is spent in black khakis and a button up though...damn office jobs.

"just became"...

Wow, that is a good one!

I've been here for years...

yeah, you know when you go play bmx video games, well, the "characters" are all my friends.

I helped invent "street" bmx. I invented one of the hardest flatland moves ever, and it is still one of the hardest tricks 20 years later... (no handed no footed hang 5, or Lazy man hang 5)

I turned pro at 18, after traveling the country becoming one of the best flatland experts in the country.

I taught flatland at Woodward bmx camp. Other instructors (and good friends) at the time, Tony Hawk, Chase Gouin, Danny Way, and many more current pros in BMX and skateboarding.

Oh, and they named an indoor park at woodward west after me... "The Enterprise"...

I've been in countless bmx videos over the years including Dorkin in York 4 1/2, Bully slow ride, and many more.

I've rode with Mat Hoffman before he started the X games, at his parents house in Oklahoma. Here you can see me standing on the flatbottom during one of the most memoriable pictures in BMX history...

One of my best friends started one of the largest BMX distributers in the world.

I "was" cool... Now I'm just a dad who enjoys having fun.

On a side note, I think you dropped a few things... j/k

Yeah, he crashed, right after that pic was taken on the next "attempt". Broke his collarbone, and some internal stuff that showed up at the hospital. It was a long wait for the ambulance... Since his folks lived in the sticks... I can't believe the stuff guys are doing today... Serious business, and one bad move, and you could die, literally.

I have driven so many guys to the hospital over the years its not even funny. Major injuries too, I know way too much about the human body from all my trips to the ER taking guys with concussions and broken limbs.

Zack is a trip, although his tattoo thing is going a bit overboard... His site is pretty funny. He owns a house about 30 minutes from mine.

yeah, I left out a ton... I didn't want to "brag"... heh heh.
