| i am (and have been) looking for a cheap sniper that is relatively accurate. i havent found any yet but i was hoping that you could point me to mods for like a 98c or something. |

Here's a '98 Sniper. A '98 Evolution Sniper to be exact.

DeTrevni, I ran almost the same setup on my Sniper* two weekends ago. I got the Sniper with the idea that I could use a larger tank and hopper to make it a "heavy pump" for those games where I was feeling too outclassed by the semis and full-autos. (Anything larger than a 50 round hopper and a 22 cu. in. tank just feels awkward on the Phantom.) Anyway I finally got around to doing it and used a Crossfire 68/3000 and an ancient 9v Revvy I had in the box of random parts. I played more tactical than I have in a while and took out most of the other team by myself. Funny story related to that; when I got in trouble because I snuck up behind too many people the only person who came to my assistance was the kid who was shooting a Black Maxx that he was hand loading because he couldn't find his elbow. Between the two of us we eliminated the entire opposing team. The rest of our team was causing me serious frustration because they wouldn't move up or engage from anything closer than lobbing range. *Pump-kitted 'cocker actually, but it's easier to just say "sniper." -------------

odyssey, I believe you are refering to the Tippmann 98, they saw your post, which said, "98" and "sniper". they thought it would be funny to post a sniper (the gray marker you see is called a sniper) that was made in 1998 (98).
you want to make your 98 look like a sniper rifle, and not pay a lot for mods. I myself am not a "milsimer" and dont know the exact prices on some of the mods your looking for, but i know most of them are fairly expensive. on a side note, I very much prefer detrev's sniper than a 98 to look like one. I just built/converted 2 mech and 1 electric cockers to pump, and I must say, I love them. Pump makes me feel like a sniper, I play more aggresive, Im sneaky as hell, I get loads of kills (mainly hs) and theres always that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you pop someone when they had no clue you were there. I am now having a hard time using my droid... ------------- its easy to be famous, just set yourself on fire |

WELL U COULD JUST GET A SALVO AND ADD A LONG BARREL.....AND PUT A SCOPE....LOOK INTO THEM.....U END WASTING MORE MONEY TRYING TO MAKE A 98 LOOK LIKE A SNIPER RIFLE THEN U WOULD ON A SALVO
