has anybody encountered where their cyclone is trapping balls above the breach, pinched in between the paddles and feeder hook, or more importantly know a way of fixing the problem? ------------- a-5 LPK System X 68/4500 JJ ceramic 14" E-Grip w/APE board Polished internals Palmer male Stabalizer Rap4 complete cyclone kit |

Are you saying the balls are being crushed by the paddles? If so I only had that problem once when a ball broke in my hopper and the shell got jammed in that spot.
If you are using thin shelled paint, or just cheapo paint, that could be part of the problem. You could try buying some of the soft flex paddles that are supposed to prevent those kinds of breakage. I have never used them but you can find them for about $5-10 on Ebay. Also, have you done any modifications to your marker, or specifically the cyclone? |

I have seen this tend to happen when the ammo level in the hopper gets low. The rapid movement of the Cyclone paddles tends to produce a "popcorn popper" effect when the hopper is nearly empty. This, combined with a rapid rate of fire, is the most common cause (in my experience) of breaks in the cyclone or jams similar to what was described by the OP. Not having used anything other than stock paddles, I don't know if the after market ones would mitigate this issue. To the original poster: Does this generally happen when the Cyclone is nearly empty? If so, reloading sooner is a viable solution. -------------

it is happening more often after i have shot some of my paint, but it usually starts at about half a hopper, which it doesnt take very long for me to burn half a hopper so its very inconvenient to reload that often. i had squishy paddles but they stripped out so i switched back to the hard plastic. i havent had breaks. do they make a hopper that will put pressure on the paint to eliminate the " popcorn effect"? ------------- a-5 LPK System X 68/4500 JJ ceramic 14" E-Grip w/APE board Polished internals Palmer male Stabalizer Rap4 complete cyclone kit |

They do not. Also, if this is happening at about half a hopper then the "popcorn effect" is probably not your problem. On the off-chance that the issue is caused by sporadic cyclone operation I recommend checking to make sure all of the air fittings are tight and the o-rings on them are good.
