i was just curious as to peoples thoughts on aftermarket parts. some of the ones i have been looking in to are:

Squishy Paddles
Q.E.P.H.
Lightening Rod (aka thunder rod)
Vortex Mod (ratchet and shaft)
Zero Kick Hammer
Power Tube & Bolt

If you have used any of the above please comment, review

Thanx

I definitely reccommend buying a better hammer than the one you've got.

The general rule for tippmanns is that everything internal you dont need to upgrade.

i disagree.

ok, so maybe you dont -need- to upgrade them, but there can definately be some benefits. specially hammers, as already meantioned, i also tend to prefer a rear-cocking setting so nothing is moving externally. powertubes are not needed, though i have had a plastic one crack on me before.

Squishy Paddles: vary easy on cheap paint less of a chance to cause a blender effect

Q.E.P.H, Lightening Rod, Vortex Mod:  it's nice to replace the plastic ones, but you only need them if your shooting more then 20bps all the time.

Power Tube: you dont really need to change it, because the stock one is good enough

Zero Kick Hammer, Bolt: the stock bolt works fine, no need to replace it and for the hammer....the marker dosent kick like a real gun so thers no need, i think it's just a waste of money to replace it.

if you want them, then go for it, but i would stay away from the hammer and bolt, no need to change them.

i will probs just get the Q.E.P.H, Lightening Rod and Vortex Mod, unless there are any other plastic parts that can be changed to metal.

completely agree - a good hammer (e.g. engler's zero-kick) can really effect the cyclic speed of your marker, as well as the physical report of your shot.

I got a qeph and it was junk. poorly machined, and didn't fit my gun, causing it to not load. I took it back off, and put the stock on back on and it worked fine.
You could even wiggle the whole thing around it was so loose after I installed it...

I showed it to the store where I bought it and they took it back, it was so goofy.

I like my lightning rod, great upgrade.

Currently my ratchet is out, and I need to replace it, but I haven't felt like it, so I've been using my stock backup a-5.
