I just stirpped my A5 today and i discovered something that wasnt new to me. a few months ago, i cleaned up my A5 and found my power tube in bad condition and manage to fix it with new stock power tube. but today i have the same problem again and it confuses me.it seems thart my rear bolt is pushing to far into my power tube or one is too big or too small for the other. a picture worth a thousand words  What i've tried so far is to install the RAP4 power tube but it seems both are not compatible (tested it and didnt work). Then i put another stock power tube and worked good for a while. lately i had some misfires with my A5, thought it was my egrip's battery, changed it and worked good after. But now, the same problem and I'd like to understand. |

Are you using CO2 with the egrip?

I can't help but notice in the picture that the rear bolt o-ring is a bluish color. I am used to seeing a whitish colored o-ring at this location. If the o-ring is larger than the original it could be putting undue stress on the power tubes. Edit: Of course, it could just be a trick of the light in the photo; in which case you may ignore my input. -------------

Looks like alot of crud in that crack as well. The only time I ever had a cracked powertube was when I did some sanding on the body and neglected to strip everything out first. Maybe the things are allergic to grit.
