And that's where you'd show your lack of understanding yet again.

JFK got us into a 13 year war without that later presidents couldn't even get us out of. He ruined any sort of open communication with the USSR that might have ended the cold war earlier. Completely botched an overthrow of the Cuban government which then led to the USSR trying to place nuclear missiles in Cuba. He didn't even want to get involved in the Civil Rights movement but Jackie forced him to.

Ultimately JFK was a handsome young man who had great speech writers that died a tragic (and most importantly) public death. He's had no lasting positive impact on US relations to any foreign body or domestic policy for that matter. All he achieved in his two years in office was the continuation of the previous two administrations policies and the continuation of the decline of the public's faith in the leadership in Washington DC.

Just lay that rug over a Marilyn Monroe rug, and watch the smile appear on JFK's face. JFK's daliances made WJ Clinton look like an amatuer.

One could argue that he never had time to see his plans established into anything meaningful.

I agree with the overrated part though. No argument there.

Except for that Executive Order 11110, he signed in four months before his death. It's a shame he didn't live longer.

Oh, you mean the one that was essentially nullified under 20 years later in 1982. Not to mention the fact that it was pretty much unimportant after Nixon took us off the precious metals standard.

Just saying, had a big part of the assassination, if you believe the "government" had a part in it.

A great book called "Legacy of Ashes" by Tim Weiner, about the history of the CIA, points the finger more to Cuba as the controlling powers behind Oswald.
