so here it is the middle of summer(if you count most days not reaching into the mid 80's summer) and im enjoying a tasty shocktop(yes its a michelob product, bite me) and i wonder what everyones favorite beer is, or bar in thier area and why. myself i love zoomer from the new hollard brewing company, or brassie blonde from the arbor brewing company. and the bar that takes the cake is ashleys in ann arbor, they have a 3 page menu of standard bar food, which is quite good, but their 10 page beer menu is a beer lovers dream. so post away guys and if theres something out there i need to try, please let me know.

Arrogant Bastard is one of my favorites. Really anything from Stone Brewery. I love bitter ales. Pretty much anything from Great Lakes Brewery (Christmas Ale is my favorite) Lots of IPA's- Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Brooklyn Brewery India Pale Ale are good.
I'm a big cider fan too. In fact, I think I'm going to pick up some Strongbow or Woodchuck, since those are the only ones I can find around here.
EDIT- I'd like to add Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. By far my favorite stout.
I love beer.

Note that Im going on beers you can actually find in stores, Im sure microbewerys have some better stuff, but its hard to find and stupidly expensive.

Anyone had Guinness Foreign Extra? That malarkey is the bomb. To my understanding it isn't usually available in the States or places with a local Guinness brewery(buddy went to Ireland recently), but that stuff is easily my favorite brew. Any Guinness'll do on that note though. Otherwise it's just ol' Shiner or Shiner Hefeweizen, I can't stand cheap beer. If I'm goin cheap I'll just drink malt liquor or whisky, but as I'm not 21 yet I don't usually get a choice... that problem will be over with this September 30th.
