I think it would be cool if there were laser sight's out of the box on some of the new guns. 98's, A-5's, X-7's, and Alpha Black's. Tell me what you think. Thanks

Most standard lasers don't work that well for paintball.
- The dots tend to not be bright enough for use during daylight play.
- The arcing trajectory of the paintball means that lasers that are on target at one range are not on target at a different range.
- They do work well at close range in low light conditions (such as indoors or once it starts to get dark outside) but they give one's position away in these conditions as well.
- There are stronger lasers that work better in daylight conditions but there are also safety conditions related to playing with them (mainly the risk of accidentally "flashing" someone's eyes with them) that make them disallowed at most fields.
- To be more accurate, most commercial fields do not allow any laser sights to be used because of this risk.

True, but he should have correctly identified a red dot if that was what he was referring to.

In that case, markers probably won't come with them because there are too many types to choose from that vary on operating principals and price. (The red dot could become a reason for some people not to buy a certain marker even while being a reason others would buy it.)
I am a fan of the occluded eye gunsights myself because most of them use fiber optics and work off of ambient light. Armson used to make practically indestructible ones that you could pick up for around $50. If you prefer the ones that use a laser to project the dot on the viewing screen you can pick them up from anywhere between $12 (for an ultra cheap bb gun site) to hundreds of dollars for actual gun sights. The BSA 30mm ones are nice for the price if you pick them up at Wally World or someplace similar. (The larger viewing area makes it easier to acquire the dot during use under duress.) If you go with something similar to that I highly recommend also purchasing a lens cover to protect your investment. (I've had the plastic shot out of my lens cover three times now-I just keep making a new one for it as opposed to buying another cover.)
ADCO makes sights specially designed/warranted for paintball use and are worth taking a look at as well.

Tippmann ships their guns bare bones, to keep the cost down and keep the options up to you. If you want a laser sight on it, stick one on.

Really sights are really only made for looks. Guns like the X7 and the A5 allow you to make them look like an AK-47 or whatever gun you want. The lasers scopes really only make your gun look better and more realistic. But if you want your marker to look badass then add whatever you want its your gun.
