So, in 1 hour I'm officially 21 (as opposed to being unofficial?)
The plan to go to Las Vegas was changed because my soon-to-be ex sister-in-law left the state with my brothers daughter without telling anyone, so he's filing for divorce. Because of such, he is not supposed to leave the state (let alone go to Vegas), so I'm in DFW for my 21st. I hate beer. Cannot stand the stuff, so it needs to be liquor. I also don't like the taste of most liquor and tend to want drinks that mask the flavor (lightweight, I know) Tequila is my vice of choice, and is the one liquor I can do straight-up without a weird look on my face. (Not that I knew BEFORE today... right?) Recommend me some drinks that are a must. I've been having a craving for a mojito, so I'll try that. What else? -------------

Go for a high-roller margarita if you like tequila. A lot of places will make a really nice one with high-end tequila, grand marnier, and real lime juice and sugar. Drink a manhattan if you feel like being sophisticated. Or you could go for the obligatory 21st b-day drink, the cement mixer. ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. Tsk, you know better.> |

Cement mixer kind of intrigues me, but having had curdled rotten milk on accident one time before, I'm apprehensive in drinking something made to feel like it O_o
I still refuse to drink milk to this day. -------------

Do not drink a cement mixer unless a girl buys it for you. That's my recommendation. (it doesn't taste like curdled milk...it's just...yea) Also: Washington Apple shot Tequila Sunrise. Four Horsemen (you will want a chaser) 7 and 7 Lemon Drop Jagerbomb -------------

7 and 7 sounds good... but strange. Whiskey and 7up?
I should add another stipulation: Orange juice makes me sick. Screwdrivers + never drinking before = horrible morning. -------------

And you sir, need to learn your alcohol! Seagram's 7 is a blended whiskey, not gin. They use whiskey from 7 different batches to make it, hence the name. Seagram's makes several other alcohol types, including gin, but Seagram's Seven Crown Whiskey is just that, whiskey. That said, Linus should have a "Lindsay Lohan" which consists of a redheaded slut (it's a drink, look it up) with the addition of a little coke. ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. You already drinking mixed drinks man, no need to swear of the "chick drinks". If you want something you can't even taste the alcohol in, go with frozen and get the lemon drops. It's a shooter, not a mixed drink, but the lemon pucker overpowers other taste...
Irish carbombs are alright if you like dark beer at all. Liquid cocaine is good too, and I guess it would be deemed a "manly" shot, but your not drinking to look like a man. If you are, your gonna be hurting tomorrow, haha.
You might as well start drinking beer though. For most people it's an aquired taste, I know I can say that for myself. It won't take long before you actually enjoy it. I know it sounds stupid to force yourself to like something, but in almost every social situation you see yourself in after 21 you'll be offered a beer, can't hurt to accept it. ------------- |

Can't get more manly then doing 190 proof grain alcohol. It's not so much I hate the taste of alcohol,. just some of it. Tequila is fine by itself. Vodka is good. Whiskey is fine straight up. Everything else is... off. Just looking for different drinks to find what I like and what I don't -------------

How could I forget this!?!?! I took one of these when I was already pretty gone, back on my 21st. I had been called over to the bar to take it, and left my beer across the room. Suffice to say I required a beer chaser ASAP from the bartender and someone bought it for me out of pity. Easily the most brutal shot I've ever had. -------------
