Back in Nebraska to load up some more stuff for NY. Got the van set up with a GI army cot, and a expandable kid gate to keep bassets in the back. Will be sleeping in van to cut costs, pets in motels almost doubles room cost.

Momma and I had a blast replacing things brother took to CO. New paintings, and there is a really great pine furnature store in Oneonta so we are replacing a few chests and dressers. I am making a "mates" bed to replace the cherry bedset brother took. I make a bedframe out of pine with drawers underneath and a "locker" at the end. Patterned off a 1st mates bed found on 18th century New England whalers.

Still hard to drive long distances, will probably take 3-4 days where 2 is the norm. Just looking foward to my new retirement dream home. A lot to do, and will keep me busy through the winter.

A lot of things going on, just waiting for life to slow down again, miss my sitting on the porch watchin the sun go down. I hate getting old.

Consider yourself lucky -- both my grandparents are sitting in a retirement home doing absolutely squat.  I would literally die of boredom.  You at least at have things to keep you mentally and physically active.

But yeah, I'm sure no one likes getting old.
