Hello, I bought my tippmann A-5 about 2 years ago, and I was getting ready to play after a summer went by, and my gun wouldnt shoot. I tested my air tank and remote coil on a different gun, but that wasnt it. I have an E-Grip on it but I tried changing the battery and turning it off but it still didnt help. The problem is is that when I shoot the gun, its like a lack of air or force is happening to propel the ball. It shoots at a kind of three shot burst but only 1 ball comes out. When I tip it so the barrel is facing the ground, it works a little better, but still doesnt work. I oiled the parts, still nothing. My friend who has had a similar problem as this sugested to get a new rear hammer bolt (mine is looking a little shaven down anyways). Im stumped, anyone know the answer?

If you want, you can email me the answer at mailto:D_Liebrecht@hotmail.com - D_Liebrecht@hotmail.com - that would be prefered.

Replace the rear hammer oring.
While you have the setup out the back, look at the hammer end of the plastic power tube for cracks.
A cracked power tube can also cause that, but the oring is usually the culprit.

I replaced the o-rings and went out to shoot, but.....When I shot the first one seems ok, but then I had to cock it again with still no balls able to come out. I found that I could only shoot it once every couple seconds (usually 3) or
a) have to recock
b)does the three shot burst with no balls coming out

What is it??

Try loosening up the rear half bolts a bit. If you havent polished the insides of the reciever halves, some guns have problems with oversprayed paint that causes friction.

Other than that, check your air pressure. Check if there may be something clogging up the air lines (Just blow in it)
