Getting pretty boring cooking for one. Tonights fare wwas some of my mothers homemede marinara, my mix of romano/basil olive oil accenter, a little pesto, two lightly brownd hot italian sausage, choppecd green peppers and onion, fresh parmesan and romano cheese, and al-dante linguini. Fresh ground french roast gently brewed in my coffee press.

Some days cooking for one is fun, but making "ugh" for two days straight bites.

("Ugh" was my daughters name for chopped spam and taters, w/onion back in my poor single father days. She would ask whats for dinner, I would respond, spam and taters, she would go "Ugh" and the name stuck."

But doing dishes for one is better than doing dishes for 2

Not if you get the other person to do the dishes.

You do realize you're typing to a forum full of college students who cook alone quite regularly?

Yes, it does suck. I usually cook in batches and eat the same thing for four days straight. It worked out great when I was working 40 hrs, going to school for 16 credits, and training for a marathon. All my meals were premade except breakfast. Just open the fridge, grab a container, pop in the microwave.

I don't ever want to eat a Chicken breast, brown rice, and mixed vegetables again.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

It is.

If there wasn't a dining hall, I wouldn't eat for a week at a time though.  I don't have any time to actually make food, except on the weekends.

What you call Ugh, I call Spash (Spam hash).

Spash + two fried eggs, sunny side up, placed on top so you can pop the yolk and mix it into everything = many a breakfast I have made at about 11 a.m. after a night at the bar.

You don't buy it; you show interest in it once at the market and spies for the company stalk you to get your street address.  Then they mail you a case a month whether you want it or not.
