They are very nice guns. What kind of trigger frame? Completely stock?

Good lord yes. The valve alone is worth that. Assuming it all works right.

Is it a Classic RT or RT Pro? Either way, yes it is worth more than $78.00. Classic RT's are less swappable upgradewise, but still nice and wortth around $200.00 or so. If It is an RT Pro, it could be worth $200 up to 3-400 or more depending on upgrades. Post a couple of pics or PM me and I can get you a pretty good value estimate. You can also go to Automags.org and get a pretty decent idea of overall value.

My mag knowledge is nil. I asked a couple of local mag owners and like you
said, 100 - 200 for a Classic. It has a spare valve which is good.
I'll post pics if it goes through, it was brought into my work by the guys friend
who knew I played. No pictures of it yet.

The Mag will have to wait, I've been trying to get one of these for 3 years. $288.00 shipped here.

Ok, I bought the mag too.
New valve on mag says "ReTro", Grip frame is a Dye with dbl trigger, AA and stock barrel, He's dropping spare valve and parts off tomorrow. I'll post pics so you can educate me later.
Oddly, I'm more excited about the F/A

Gah. You lucky mother Tinman. Ive been wanting an F/A for years. Every time I have the cash to burn theres none to be found.
That purple/chrome one that you see pictures of everywhere used to be on the wall of my local shop. Even though someone absolutely ruined that thing, I still wanted it.
Just never visit the Tippmann building in Fort Wayne. The F/A with no serial number will make you drool all over (Let alone the SMG68)

Congrats on the F/A TinMan. If you have any questions feel free to ask away. I haven't messed with mine in a few years so I can't guarantee knowledgeable answers but I can always break out the F/A and look at it or check the manual if need be. (Now that I think about it, I can check the video as well if I remember where I put it.)
Even though I haven't played with it in more than a few years (I've messed with it more recently than that because of the take it out and fondle it desire*) I can guarantee you that it will be a blast to shoot. (I do remember how much fun that was.)
*Sounds naughty, but only if your mind is in the gutter anyway.

You got an extra valve with the Mag too? Thats a GREAT deal. Heck, depending on what valve, sell the extra one and itll pay for itself!

So, a guy walks into my work with it, and I bought it for $100.00 in case your confused by my posts about the Tippmann FA. This is about the mag
Any help identifying parts or just assembly advice would be great.
Questions: Can I get a centerfeed body for the R/T?
Parts:
- J&J ceramic barrel, All American barrel,
- Clasic 68 valve, RT valve, both have matching numbers,
- One front bolt has 'ANS Phase II' on it.
- I think the Retro valve has the Level 10 upgrade.
- The grip frame is a DYE one with Dye grips
- Large expansion chamber?
Thanks for any help

LPR was not in with it, but if you can tell me what it's off ;)

You sir are a thief. lol. Yes, the Retro has lvl 10. It can be switched to the classic valve as well, but would have to be retuned and I can't tell if he gave you the extra spacers or not. Keep track of which spring you took off the Lvl10. The Ans is a PhaseII front bolt. Considered an upgrade. The rail is what is called an Automag/MiniMag length. You can find centerfeed bodies for these, but they are a little rarer. You can also have Lukes customs do a vert mod, or you can look into a ULE body which will accept cocker threaded barrels. Good thing about the vert mod is you can still use your twistlock barrels. You would have to mod the twist lock channels in the barrels to fit a centerfeed body. That is an expansion chamber, a lot of people go with a bike grip gas-tru.
Seriously, nice grab.

FA arrived safely and in great condition, incoming questions.
OPBN, I stripped what seamed like 4 layers of black paint off of the body of the mag.
There was actually a layer with a Canadian flag 2nd from the SS body. Hope it wasn't custom.
Marker fits together very well now.

Think about polishing that sucker up!!! SS is a pain to get up to a high shine, but it is kind of cathartic sanding and sanding for hours on end. Theres also a guy on AO that is doing machine finishes on the SS bodies. Looks pretty sweet.

Im super jealous right now... | It is a good deal, but not an Intelliframe. It's actually a Dye frame. Still nice.

The Dye frame has the intelli mounts MeanMan, screw holes are tapped and all.
I can't see where this is an upgrade but meh.
Last question.
Forgot to mention new Lab Hurricane valve. any good? Reviews are mixed,
nothing bad but a few said no change.
Also paintless body. Sorry for the vid still, my camera is down.

I honestly don't know much about the HL regs. If I remember correctly, they had the 8 hole mod? Think about cutting down the feedneck tube. It will bring the hopper down a bit. Makes it less wonky feeling imo.

Yes, 8 holes for sure.
And may I comment on your sig.... Hahahaha
Thanks for the info OPBN, much appreciated. I think I'm good now.

8hole mod was supposed to give better regulation or something, I think. A lot of this stuff is old, so they were the shiznit 10 years ago and that is before my time. Some guy on AO was selling a couple of them a few months back, and I saw a couple of posts after asking about them. Didn't read the answers though.
I guess, I meant the Dye is an upgrade in that is isn't the stock CF single trigger frame. I personally am a fan of double triggers, so IMO it's an upgrade. I have seen some posts complaining that they tended to feel sloppy though, and they don't seem to fetch the same resale as the Intelliframe. I personally have no experience with them, but have seen them popping up lately. I actually bid on a marker awhile back and had to rescind my bid because it ended up having a dye frame instead of the intelli, but only because I had plans on parting it out.

oh ah, I imagined the Dye frame was replacing the Intelliframe. Sorry, I didn't think of single trigger frames.
I'm such a mag newb it's embarrassing.

^^^ By no means am I and expert on Mags yet. I can ID a lot of parts/upgrades, but actually teching them is another thing. Still in the asking questions phase myself on AO.

"Slow" as in "not fast."
I guess he could have meant slow as in an uber-lib who doesn't realize/admit his far left-wingedness and gets upset/offended when treated in a milder version of the same way he treats others.

And I guess slow as in it isn't RT'ng, slow to reset...? Tin, you may need to get an adjustable tank for it to really RT. I use an adjustable Centerflag reg and have it set around 950-1k. It bounces pretty well. Not so much on a non-adjustable. Oddly enough, it all depends on the valve. Some just seem to bounce more than others.
If it is recharging slowly, make sure you have it turned up enough and watch the space between the back of the trigger and the pin. It should be adjusted out so that there is about a business cards space when gassed up.

Slight topic change; TinMan you really have to let us know how the first firing of the F/A goes. (Thoughts, impressions, etc.)
I have always thought that firing an R/T rapidly ("full-auto") was more satisfying than the full-auto setting on any electro. I also think that firing my F/A with it's mech full-auto beats the heck out of the R/T for pure, unadulterated, visceral fun.

Oh man, I'm a mess.
OPBN, after looking through AO I realized I didn't have an RT sear.
It acted like a Tippmann RT with a leak, it just nudged my finger but not enough to reset it.
I located a sear and am waiting for a reply.
Mack, I haven't shot it yet. I'm still in the cuddling stage, petting it and calling it "my precious" .

You don't need an RT sear since you don't have an RT rail. I know, its confusing. Are you getting bolt stick?

Most of my mag valves will not go very deep into the tank. My Classic will go down to maybe 800 or so, all the others pretty much stop working around 900psi.
RT sears only go with RT rails, but you do not have to have an RT rail with an RT valve. Or a RT sear with an RT valve. Unless it's a classic RT and then it must be a classic RT rail. In fact, an RT sear will not fit the rail that you have.... I can post up some pics if you need.

Just wanted to make sure you didn't spend the 25 or so on a new sear you didn't need....
