I prefer to cook with vegetable oil, gun oil makes my kids sick. LOL

Battle lube or Hopp's is my favorite

If you use vegetable oil on your marker, you will end up regretting it.

i like a silcon based oil like Hoppes 9. Any gun oil/3in1 will work, for a Tippmann anyway.

have you left vegetable oil out for a while?

it gums up and gets sticky... i was told to use gun oil on mine, just use it sparingly, don't over oil, less is better... i get all my o-rings and oil them up and set them aside (the extra oil will run off leaving a got coat on the o-rings) i do the same thing with the bolt also... I clean everything with a little 50/50 of alcohol and water... then wipe everything down with a lint-free rag with a little oil on it and i mean little... and you should be in the clear...

I have never had a problem with any gun i've owned...

I'd stay away from vegetable oil...

good luck...

3in1 may seem good but you'd have to be real careful same with silicon because there are some silicon based lube that will eat up the paint and maybe even the o-rings...

just read before you use....

"edit" and vegetable oil is for cooking not for shooting lol

petroleum based oils gum up o-rings. Not silicone. Silicone is really slippery and pretty inert.

I use standard air tool oil. You can get a 16oz bottle for $3.00. Last forever.

I've never seen anyone own the woods because of what marker they use.

Air tool oil ftw.

Although I bought a small 3oz bottle of empire oil for a few dollars back when I started paintballing in 2005. I still havent completely finished it. Just buy a bottle of marker oil.

most  marker oil is silicon or lithium based. silicon oil will not eat the paint off of a marker. especially since markers arent painted. they are annodized. with the exception of Tippmanns which are powder coated in a way.

ive been putting silicon oil in my guns for a very long time. i have yet to see neither my Tippmanns flake nor my 'Cockers color melt away from it.

The best oil I ever used was K-C Trouble Free. My rentals went 6 yeras without hardly any o-ring failures. The company was sold and the product name is called Outlast. They will be re-introducing it to he paintball market soon. Get some.
