EE. I shoot manlier hand-guns than that almost any day of the week. The only reason I'm interested in a 7.62 tok or 9x18 mak is that the 1911-A1 is a bit big to carry concealed. Not all of us prefer the S&W 500 mag to make the drug crazed barrio kids crap their pants when you find them trying to break into your car at 3AM.

i dont know anything about the calibers so i cant really give you input. i would check to see what kind of defense ammo you can get for it, ive heard some of the russian/eastern euro stuff is AP in FMJ form due to the high velocity. im really fighting the urge to go pick up a micro compact and bobbing the hammer and beaver tail... (just another idea) it would be more compact than your full size 1911 but most parts, mags, and ammo would be interchangeable. plus you wouldent have to retrain... ------------- saving the world, one warship at a time. |

Yeah, it's a hand-me-down from my grandfather. Might look into touching it up in the next few weeks, still not very likely to be fired any time soon though. I'd much rather borrow one of my father's S&W revolvers to take to the range. -------------
