Yes, the 98 adapter kit they make for the Q-Loader attaches where the stock front hand grip goes. It does not interfere with the barrel in any way. However, having tried a Q-Loader on a 98, I recommend against it. I was using a Response Trigger and had to crank up the preset tension so the Q-Loader could keep up with the rate of fire and avoid chopping. Once I did this the extra tension had a tendency to push the balls past the stock Tippmann detent causing double-feeding and its associated problems.

My brother used a Q-loader on his RT'd 98 and loved it. So much so, that he has seince gotten kits to attach it to his A-5, X7 and SP-1.
