I have a J&J ceramic barrel and I'm wanting to know the best paint to use for straightness. I'm also running a cyclone @ 15 bps. Any thoughts? Also, would a different barrel help?

Cyclone Feeder
Squishy Paddles
TechT Vortex Mod

figure out the exact bore of your barrel, match a paint to that size.

all J&J one pieces are a .689 bore...pretty standard. will work well with most paint.

He's snarky enough to fit into T&O forum right off the bat!
Welcome to the board, Woodsballer. Usually, the T&O forum is for off-topic, non-paintball discussion.

Actually we do... If he already knows that paint is critical, and he has a decent barrel.
Its good to have a fellow "conservative", shoot once, and move to the next target.
Me personally, I've been liking the Xball woodsball (just make sure you open it to see if it is dimpled from sitting too long).
I also will only play with an apex barrel. Set at halfway ramped, so it shoots straight (like a real gun) instead of curved like a typical barrel.

Love my apex for that, rarely adjust it. I've found that putting it about 2-3 clicks back from the end works the best.

I usualy by what ever is not complete crap, isn't squishy out of the box, and is a decent circle. IMO too much money for the more expensive stuff.
But if money's not a problem howa bout Marbelizers?

Yea, that' what I'm saying. Something not shee-ite, but something that makes you not want to shoot a paintball because your dishing out a nickle with every shot. So try what FreeEnterprise said.

I just shoot marbles. Sometimes people complain, but I just shoot them in the eye.
:nofreakin'dodgy:
*EDIT* Apparently this isn't T&O. I feel like I need to actually contribute now.
Personally, I shot a lot of Marballizers when I played. And a lot of white box. I was playing at basically all the big fields in NJ (haven't even played at Old Bridge Paintball Club or whatever that new place is, but everything older than that), and generally the cheapest field paint shot fine. Used to pay $35-$40 a case.

I've settled on Nelson Hot Spots for a cheap, but descent paintbal. They agree pretty well with my Flatline barrel. I get them at Dunhams for $32 per 2000 case with a 20% off coupon you get with your reciept.
