Since all of my CO2 tanks have all passed their hydro-test dates, I have decided to drop down the cash and upgrade to a Compressed air tank. I have read through all the user guides and tutorials and have absorbed all the information they offer. Since the posted guides and tutorials are a little outdated what are price ranges I can expect for different sizes? Which features should I look out that these tanks offer and how can I protect my self from being ripped off if I buy online? Are there expiration dates on these tanks, like CO2 hydro date because I do not want to buy a cheaply price tank that is about to expire? Also can remote lines be used with this type of tank?
Which tanks do you recommend and why? Thanks, in advance, for the all the advice... -------------

Crossfire is always a very safe and dependable brand. I suggested them to all my friends and 4 of us currently have 70/4500 tanks.
Yea, they have hydro dates. Crossfires are about $160 new. That's about low of the mid prices. There are some cheaper, but not as quality. Of course, there're are some very expensive ones. Ninja, CP and others go into $200 range. If you go used, be sure to make sure a cover was always used and the hydro is good. Get a lot of pictures. I bought a used tank before and it ended up being pretty beat up, but still safe to use. Look at Crossfire, everyone I know loves them. When I got mine, I also looked at Guerrila Air. I got turned off when a friend mentioned how the reg only has one burst disk, others have 2 at different points in the flow, BUT they just put out a new reg and they look very very nice. -------------

Thanks MeanMan. I went into my pro-shop yesterday and was told that it was their last day. While they had some really good deals on after market Tippmann accessories, I was told they had sold off all their air tanks earlier in the month. So I was forced to look on ActionVillage.com
I am pleased to see that you mentioned Crossfire as being recommended. I had been looking at a Crossfire tank on the Action Village site and will probably go with http://www.actionvillage.com/031-316-0013 - this one . Thanks Again. -------------

Yep, that one will be good. Camo ones used to cost more, haha. The only difference was the label. They came down a bit in price too, even better.

as far as i know the most a tank can go is 5 years. Check out Ninja Paintball also. Really good support if something happens. I'm also not sure where you live Hades, but look into getting a tank with a USDOT or Travel Canada (TC) stamp on it. ------------- http://www.anomationanodizing.com - My Site
