Found this novel little guy while I was searching for a new trap/sheet shotgun. Niffty concept, and as the owner of a Gamo Hunter 220 that I’ve had for 6 years-ish now, I can attest that Gamo makes the best pellet guns I have ever handled.
While looking at the reviews for the Viper/Shadow (specs look the same, I can't find the difference except price?) I came across quiet a few reviews saying that it could be a decently effective home-defense weapon (although obviously not nearly the same as a real shotgun). Makes me wonder how effective it would be against an intruder. It shoots a 17grain payload of #9 shot at 750 fps, it penetrates ¼ inch in 200 lbs compressed paper board at over 10 yards. And at $8 for a pack of shells, it’s ~$0.30 a shot. It seems pretty ideal for pest disposal.
Thoughts? Opinions?
