I cannot wait for it to chill off just a little bit here. It's still in the 80s during the day.

Turning the oven down just a little bit would be nice.

I don't want kids, so no, my children will never look to us and say "what have you done?" because I won't have any to begin with. Big smile *And I'm now cursed to have 15 kids, just because I said this*

Don't know what the temp was yesterday, but the beginning of the week here is supposed to be similar to yesterday (at least for now, it'll change though) which is nice. I don't mind when summer clings to life, gasping for breath before old man winter sticks an icicle into its spine.

Someday, I'll figure out what the hell I'm doing in upstate NY if I hate the cold and winter so much.

I'll trade you climates. I hate Texas heat, prefer the cold by far.

Lived in Florida for 32 years and it never got old to me.  I dislike the cold, but moreso the lack of sun.

I'd trade a lot to move back where its cold for Christmas. I hate waking up in the morning to open my presents and I open the door to 80+ degrees. It doesn't feel right when White Christmas plays on the radio and its anything but.

I see what you're saying there.

Also, White Christmas (the movie) is in my top five of all time.  Generally people have to stop me from watching it constantly from Thanksgiving until New Years.  It's just so good.

I'll agree with that.

Thanksgiving and Halloween too actually.

I can't take these holidays that weather is a pretty big part of it in 80 degrees.

I did thanksgiving once, and I did the halloween thing this year(both in Florida) and felt so out of place.

If it's what you grew up with, you don't know the difference. And I hate the cold. We actually leave here a few days before Christmas and spend it down there. Would much rather spend Christmas day building sand castles at the beach with my kids than freezing my butt off shoveling snow and being cooped up in the house with my inlaws.  To each his own.

Whatever. Snowmen of any legitimate size are heavy, likely dimpled, and almost always similar with some little difference (NEW SCARF LOL), while sandcastles can be anything you want, limited only by the skill of the person making it.

What does size and weight have to do with anything?

Until I re-read the initial quote I thought Gatyr was describing his girlfriends again.  LOL
