So heres my problem...

I've added a 6 point stock, double trigger, fourteen inch smart parts barrel and C/A (4500 something) with a remote line to my Custom. Oh and a tippmann ssl-200 feeder.  I haven't polished the internals yet but thats in the near future.

Now when I fired it the first 10 or so shots seemed fine but then the velocity went bad.  Some shots were fine others weak.  Alot of broken balls in the barrel.  Some balls stuck without breaking.  UGLY mess. Tried it with and without the remote line and the problem continued.

I dont have a chrono so I cant say were the fps was exactly.  Nor have I adjusted the velocity regulator screw.  The o rings didnt look bad so they havent been changed yet but they will be.  Lubed it up with "hatersauce" paste but not to heavy.

Was told by a local dealer that you dont have to change anything on the gun to run C/A instead of CO2, is this true?

History on the marker is this is a used one I just bought and it was nasty inside, no love from its former owner.

Just looking for some advice before I break it open again.

Thanks much

Madkow

I don't use hpa but have you adjusted the output presure on the hpa tank?also did you install all those upgrades at the same time?did it work before you installed the upgrades?you may just have to turn up the velocity screw.or I have heard that ocasionaly people will over tighten their bolts and that can affect the gun.

I haven't messed with the tank but I am going to try the co2 a see waht happens there.  I stripped the gun and cleaned it real good then added the double trigger, everything else was there.  I'm also going to try adjusting the velocity screw.  I can't do much with it till Tuesday, my next day off from work.

I didn't try the gun before buying it, assumed it was a reputable store.  Also I dont want to trash the store 'cause maybe its something I did in my cleaning/upgrade efforts.  Next time I'll try it first.

Thanks for the suggestions, thats what I'm looking for.

well in that case I would say put everything back like you received it.if it still doesn't work either take it back,or if you still want it then replace the sear,or prehaps the valve. Is the velocity screw loose? if so that might be your problem.
