is the salvo really worth 150? i mean it seems like all you are paying for is the rails and folding stock.....

That's exactly what you are paying for. It is cheaper to buy the Salvo or the Alpha Black with the stocks, mags, etc. than it is to buy a 98 and put those things on it. If you want that look, you save a ton of money by buying it. If you want a gun that you don't intend to put a mag, stock, etc. on, or you want different parts, I would suggest something else.
There is essentially no difference with the 98, Salvo, Alpha Black, A5, and X7 Basic. You pay for the look and/or the cyclone feed system. The X7 Phenom is the only Tippmann to have different internals. (not including the SL68 or TPX)

If you're going to keep on passing 'information' like this, stop posting please. There's a LOT more to a marker than its internals.

The AB, 98c, and Salvo are similar in their design, the shells are different. The A5 and X7 are another set of animals.

To say there's no difference between them is pretty stupid. You can't compare the stock shooting capabilities of the X7 to that of a Stock 98. Nor can you compare the customization of each independent marker. The ease with which one can swap the stock grip on an A5 or X7 for a e-grip cannot be matched by the 98.
The stock cyclone feed (which CAN be added to the 98 line) on the A5 and  X7 alone is worth the difference in price IMO.

Field stripping too is easier with the A5 and X7 with the push-pins.

Integration of a flatline on the A5 X7 line is simpler

The 98 lines are a little lighter

....I could go on, but I hope you realize just how silly your little comment was.
